Went in to see the doctor for a regular checkup on Thursday over my respiratory stuff (I have CF for anyone new)
I put on 30lbs in fluid retention in the 2 weeks I was out of the hospital. Doctor doesn't even talk to me, sends me right to ER (Which FYI, my specialists are at U of M hospital, so I just went down a floor...)
They drained a sample, no infection. Did 3 platelet infusions and 1 blood infusion. My hemoglobin and platelet count are both already back down to near-nothing. I was released yesterday (Sunday) because they couldn't do anything to help me beyond having me on pills that make me piss the water out, so I'm home, living in the bathroom for a while now.

Anyways, the better news. Working on a Ghostbusters costume. Flightsuit is ordered, the deluxe proton pack is ordered. Need money still to get parts to build the goggles, buy an alice frame, and get the patches/other smaller bits. Made a hose connector for the leg hose, need the actual hose now. I've got everything bookmarked, so it'll be easy enough once I can scrape cash together. May be a few months, but it will get done! Trying to build a suit as accurate as possible on a budget. Looks like around $100 total to do the entire flightsuit (suit itself included there) and about 100 for the proton pack/frame. Not too bad IMO. I'll worry about a PKE Meter and a trap later.

Hobbies that help one through rough stuff are the best hobbies......

Sorry about all your health struggles Theo but glad you have something to keep you busy while you heal. I'd love to see
pics of the suit as you work on it.

That should be an awesome costume theorize. Get some green slime (you can find them at Target/Wal-Mart) and smear it all over. Finish your costume with the ectoplasm for the win!

This is why I can't complain about the pain I am in from my neck and being sick at the same time. In the end, the neck will get surgery and the cold will go away. Having ot go through things beyond your control and remaining positive makes me appreciate people even more.

Can't wait to see the Ghostbusters outfit.

Sucks bro. I personally prioritize my collection over my hospital bills. I say have fun first and pay the hospital with whatever's left. :chillpill:
