Re: Freaktacular 2015

A total of 9 minifigs.
I wish we knew the piece count.

With a whopping 4,634 pieces, the iconic two-story firehouse set features a laboratory, living quarters, a containment unit and nine minifigures: Peter Venkman, Raymond Stantz, Egon Spengler, Winston Zeddemore, Janine Melnitz, Dana Barrett, Louis Tully, Zombie Driver and Library Ghost, and also includes Slimer, Pink Ghost and Blue Ghost — all of which you can slide down the fire pole.

I'm still trying to figure out another purchase to make from the lego store before double points goes away. I don't know if I should get one of the Simpsons sets or something like the Palace Cinema.

Re: Freaktacular 2015

WOW! 4634 pieces will take me forever! And that's not a bad thing for me, either. The funnest part of Lego for me is the build.

Re: Freaktacular 2015

That's awesome! Huge piece count with a bunch of minifigs...it looks like we'll end up with doubles from the echo 1 set, which I'll now buy in anticipation of the firehouse.

Re: Freaktacular 2015

That's cool. I went to school for Broadcast Television. I was an anchor and Executive Producer of one of our news shows in college, but news is not something I ever wanted to work in. I was just trying it out. I interned at the local ABC affiliate on a talk show called Milwaukee's Talking. The host was Shaun Robinson, who went on to Access Hollywood for years. But you won't find that show listed in her IMDB credits :lol
After graduation I went to work for the Fox affiliate, working on the news. I started with the morning news, which ran from 4:30am to 9am straight. It was KILLER! Then we had a big break before the Noon news, and then our shift ended... I worked the nightly news show as well (from 9-10:30) but I preferred mornings, even with the crazy hours... After I quit a few years later, I couldn't watch the news anymore. I got sick of news for at least a year...

I've done the morning show too! That's definitely a rough shift. When freelancing I filled in wherever needed, so I wasn't on it for huge extended periods; but I did fill in for about a month and a half straight at the start of this year actually! It's tough to get used to the hours when you're a night owl, but it's also nice being done your shift at around Noon and heading home when most are just getting underway! :)

That's a pretty badass set!! Thank goodness they remembered Pink Ghost! I would've been okay without Blue Ghost, but Pink Ghost...there would've been riots! :lol

Overall it seems like a very worthwhile set for the cost! It'll be great to see the inside when they open it up in previews!
