I don't see it as a problem, but if the sculpt is infact based on Robocop 1 they should've been included.

:lol Dont read too much into what I said my freind,it was a rude joke that got lost in translation.Trust me,I know nothing about this sculpt, and precious little about Robocop, other than Id like to own something from this line. But probably wo nt.

Ill probably settle for one of the Hot Toys Robocops instead.

Mini, while i was quoting you, my reply was not directed to you. Honestly i still don't know what you mean by "shot it" Did you mean shot him an email asking the question?...or the piece is shot to ____?...hard to intrepret through text.

What i know for sure is Fred Barton Productions is CRAZY regarding minute details. Fred and his crewgo to great lengths to make sure everything is 100% perfect or as close as humanly/or Robotically possibile :lol Fred and anticlaus based this sculpt off the oringinal suit and the molds I am still interested to hear why the bolts weren't include. I am POSITIVE it was not an oversight, because that just doesn't happen...Robotically Speaking.

Sweeeeet!!! And i don't mind at all about the delay. Nice job Ash on the bolt observation.

Btw, did he mention that it was simply an oversight?

Don't forget it is still a matter to be discussed :wink1:

Thank you Thx217 for sharing this great shot of the back.:)

Wow this looks so nice. Should be able to see the nose underneath the helmet tho. Guessing the helmet and face are sculpted as one though. Bit of a shame. Don't get me wrong this bust is beautiful and I can't wait to get mine but that chin guard is so Robocop 2. Way too chunky to be from the original movie. So much so I'd rather he left the bolts off and I can then just live with the fact it's off the second movie. Looks ever so blue in this latest shot too.

I know that there are scenes that showed a bit of the nose in R1, but there are also tons of scenes that doesn't show the nose(I did frame by frame 1080p capture). Personally, I much prefer the covered look. And I don't think the helmet and face were sculpted as one piece.

As for the chin guard, yea, it's very much a R2 look. Which doesn't bug me that much as I may tweak/mod it myself.

Here are few examples

Just got this reply from Fred and what can I say... Fred is the man.

"Okay Cyborg’s, here’s the scoop on the bolts. I loved the clean look and the idea of making a hybrid bust incorporating the best of various looks Robo had over the three films. Ergo, no bolts. But, in hindsight, since he is mostly based on Robo 1 and although he photographs a bit blue, he is really way more Robo 1 green/blue with deep blue and violet shading and many other processes as well for that perfect- in person look. We all know the bolts come and go depending on the scene. Just like the shoulder rings disappear sometimes. Remember, I said I was doing whatever looks best in person, not in a photograph. On a piece this small, I thought the bolts added a bit of clutter in your face. I’m sitting next to one now at my desk and it’s like, Ohhh, clean lines. Who needs bolts? Whereas the 1:1 will have every bolt and screw, to be sure, I didn’t think the bust needed it... Well, it’s not too late, but it is more work – thanks. LET THERE BE BOLTS!!!! I will put in the front and rear bolts… as seen in ROBOCOP - Their omission wasn’t really an oversight, per-se, if I wanted them in there, they would have been in there. Anti-C and I have been discussing this for a while. The bolt issue was always in the back of my mind. But, since you guys want it, I’m going to do it. Merry Christmas! This bust was made for the fans, by fans, but I’ve have never taken requests on the look form or function of any of my robot replica’s. I can’t take any more requests or make any other changes to this edition after this. The molds are made, the paint secured, etc… I can’t close his mouth, black out his center tooth like Alfred E. Newman, or poke him in the visor like Moe. As Kirk said, “I’ll take it under advisement gentlemen, when this becomes a democracy”.

Hope you guys like it. Bolts, yeah, why didn’t I think of that???

Here’s a shot of the back to put under your pillow.

Thanks,

Fred"

Wow. Fred is awesome. Love his sense of humour. I might print this out and display it next to the bust. Gives it a back story.

:goodpost:
NO BOLT FOR ME! :slap
This bust is the perfect crossover between R1, R2 and R3.
And it looks so slick that way!
I don't want it R1 screen accurate, bolts make it looks cheap! :monkey4

Watch Fred now get a mass of emails asking for no bolts on their bust. :lol

Loved his email and now that we know that it is more of a best-of bust, with designs mostly from Robocop 1, the bolts are necessary IMO. There is no question, Fred is the man!!! I love his quote "On a piece this small, I thought the bolts added a bit of clutter in your face." This small???? 28" is small??? :lol
Love that shot of the back. Yeah, it would have been nice if they fixed the chinguard like you did thx, but I have no doubt when I see this thing in hand, it's going to be perfect.

And thx, I could look at screenshots all day, so I won't have a problem if you post more.

I appreciate your critical eye ... no offense just enjoy the damn thing. It seems you are looking for this bust to definitively represent one of the films...this bust definitively represents ALL of the films. I honestly believe the was the BEST way to go...an ultimate hybrid, based primarily on Robocop 1.

Fred has "the eye". I trust him.

PS tweaked chin guard.

Cool gif, but i prefer the thicker chin guard. It gives him a "stronger" jaw-line...ultimately giving him a more powerful look. Your updated looks a little small for my tastes. I'm glad Fred went with the thicker chin strap.

To be honest, with the chinguard, I didn't even notice until it was mentioned here. But it doesn't bother me either. I guess I'm not as big of a Robocop fan as I thought. I missed the chinguard... i missed the bolts... :lol
