yea, I did, I upgraded to Resin. Do you by any chance remember one a couple years ago that had a bloody skull/spine trophy? That one was mine. Maybe I could get you to make another trophy like that for me??

My God thats a horrid warp. I sure hope atheris gets a replacement. I have this on flex at the moment with Sideshow due to ship in December. If mine arrives with similar defect i'll indeed send it back as well.

Another fellow collector's Robo bust showed up damaged at the neck. The rest of of 1st batch may likely suffer the same issues mentioned in the thread. Man.....

and friends, as THX say i cannot live without this bust,
is it thin for sure, it has some issue and small flaws...but in overall is great ! be honest guys, how much time did you spent at 5 cm from the bust to notice a micro bubble under the paint...
if you look the bust from 30cm is superb...

take your decision, but i want to trust in Fred another time... and you ?

im worried about how thin this is,im going to cancel i think,cant be bothered to have the worry while waiting to receive this,postage to the UK is ridiculous anyway.
With all these issue's im done with this,such a shame as this looked amazing

This could suck for people who ordered it early because the low edition numbers may well be associated with thin casting and flaws if these get rectified in later batches...
Hopefully it all gets sorted for you guys with dramas.
I am tentatively keeping my order with SS but if this continues down the line I will cancel.

Thanks for the link. I am going to stay hopeful for now. But, I won't be pre-ordering either. I will wait till sideshow stock gets delivered. If it sells out by then, I will just take it as a loss and move on. This is just the risk you run when you purchase items not actually produced by Sideshow.

Perfect pic comparisons since I have the Iron Man and Arnie busts. Wow its just amazing what size difference he is next to the T-800. This is gonna look sick in my setup.

Disappointed in the quality of these busts. Makes me wonder if Fred had decided to cut corners on these busts to maximize profit (ie thin casting, sub standard packaging etc). Unfortunately, that has caused him his reputation and potential customers.

Call Sideshow and be REALLY polite about it. Don't tell them your worry about paint issues, but just tell them you can't afford the bust right now, even on Flexpay. Send an email AND call it in, they may be lenient and refund you your deposit back.

Is There a person on this planet who can explain to me why a ROBOCOP hot Toys figure for $ 129 is way better in quality than a $ 850 bust from Fred Barton?

I've 3 Hottoys Robocop figures i'm very happy with it There aren't any flaws if you compare it to the Fred Barton robocop bust.


The problems with the bust from barton is that the sculpt is based on a Robocop 2 statue from Phil Tippets Warehouse, not based on the orginal ROBOCOP 1 armor Made by Rob Bottin. The funny thing is that the Orginal Rob Bottin Robocop version is displayed in Bottins house.

If you pay $ 850 for a bust you would expect something that is in good condition but NO you get ROBOCOP bust with a wrong line on his bandana (helmet) and paint between the face and chinguard.

Hottoys already announced that we can expect new ROBOCOP figures from them so i will wait for Hottoys Instead of fred Barton

Guys, that is the way the original helmet is.
A real fan would note it as a subtle detail.
It isn't going to be fixed, and honestly, I have pictures of the real helmet from robo1, and it's accurate.
