i think SS should take the ripley's out of the packaging when they receive them from HT and sell them as a seperate figure. they could call it a limited edition one. maybe it's just me.

Oh man...

What to do, what to do. See, for $250 for the PL alone I could justify not getting involved. But now you get a free/included Ripley! Thats just sick and wrong... now the question is how to swing this and if I should keep my other Ripley?!? Hot Toys you are a tricksy one, yes you are!!!

And just to help derail the thread more than the Plastic Vs Polystone debate that is now invading... I think if you are going to have mustard, ketchup and mayo on a burger. It is necessary to have the ketchup and mustard on top, and the mayo below the patty. Let the debate begin!!!

Great now I will have 2 Ripleys

Also as posted on the OSW this and my thoughts were added too

Hi everyone~~

I saw this on toysdaily and hottoys supplied some news regarding Power Leader and future plans. Here is a brief summary:

1) It is confirm that Ripley will be included in the Power Leader but no weapon will be supplied

2) StarWars Chubby should be release before April due to delay by manufacture

3) There is currently no plan of producing alien queen, as the 1:6 scale would be around three foot tall

4)Rambo 3 figure(s) should be release in 2008

5) There is currently no plan of producing Predators figures from the film Predator 1 & 2

6) They said they may consider producing figure from the movie "300"

Star Wars Chubby???? I remember getting one of those the first time I saw Lea in her metal bikini

Just wait till the price of oil drops
4)Rambo 3 figure(s) should be release in 2008
No Ramblow for me
5) There is currently no plan of producing Predators figures from the film Predator 1 & 2
Well hell come on HT Pred one is the best pred movie to date
6) They said they may consider producing figure from the movie "300"
1/2 nekkid men are not my cup of tea.....dont ask dont tell someone else

Mustard? Yuch!

A queen would be a bit excessive, I can see why they might not think it viable right now.

Disappointing about Predator 1, but it's a seperate license and what they've done is pretty close.

300 on the muscle body would be pretty awesome if they could get the likenesses right. Xerxes on the Drago body maybe?

"3) There is currently no plan of producing alien queen, as the 1:6 scale would be around three foot tall"

Hopefully some time later then.

AvP might be 3 foot tall...but the Cameron version is smaller. Its doable. HUGE, yes, but not impractically so.

Oh the Queen WILL happen. I gurantee that it will. It won't be like Sideshow teasing us with Highlander figures and copping out on the Medieval F'n Kurgan. Hot Toys doesn't do that.

When it comes to toys, NOTHING is excessive! SS made Jabba, screw it let's see the Queen! I love huge toys, gimme Rancor, Queen Alien, all the big baddies, I'll find somewhere to put em!

I was wondering what they were going to do with all those Ripleys. IMHO, terrible head sculpt. Another thing, their is no Mother Alien to attack the Power Loader in the line. Perhaps if they made an 18" Mother, this would sell out very quickly.

It's the paint that makes Ripley not meet her full potential. The sculpt is great, it's just since they don't want to pay Weaver they have to give it a dif. paint job. I smell one of the most customized figures ever coming up.

lol yeah... I think you're right. I've got one lined up too, there are going to be a lot of people painting this one. I'm checking the sculpt out too.... might be fine, or maybe just a few tweaks.... never can tell until you got a paint-less copy in your hand

Yep. I smell more of my $$ in Josh's pocket.

:lol

you guys think that Ripley (that comes with the PL) will come with her elbows hidden, like the Rocky figures?

that's the one part that is a site to sore eyes...

so now the PL comes with a ripley *snif* ... i want some moneyyyyy *sobs*

I know how you feel HA, I too am going through collectibles vs. future plans with the little lady battles of the wallet, it's hard having to say "no" to collectibles after I've been saying "yes" so much having gotten a good job and steady paycheck, but I know that in the end I'll be happier having a stronger deeper relationship with my girl where I'll be too busy to enjoy my collectibles so much, and I'm sure you'll be equally happy with the path you're taking, I admire your strength, I should probably be saying "no" to things as much as you, but I'm having a hard time making the transition.
