Nope. I saw the original. Loved the original. Saw this. And enjoyed it.

Sure, I compared it...but then I realized this film was different. It tried to be it's own thing. And I have to give it to them for it.

I want to watch it again, and the music in it was awesome. Just as good as the original. :dunno

minus McLovin trying to play Evil Ed and I agree with this post 100%. Rest of the film was awesome.

Jesus, personal much?

They're both good flicks. And the new theme is ____ing killer, and still realizes the original film was made as a homage to the classic hammer vampire films.

Also, dont you like the Star Wars prequels? Which makes everything you say null blah balh And I hope you die. And blahahh. And blah blah blabbbity blah.

If you want to get all personal and nasty, over a stupid summer remake flick, then whatthe____ever.

Both films are good. Original is better. Remake did it's job. Suck it hater. :D

Not au fait with the original but watched the remake the other night and loved this film. How much different is the original then? So this newer version is very much it's own film is it?

Same characters, the original is a classic 80s flick with a similar plot, but different story; I don't know why anyone had a problem with McLovin as Ed, the guy that played Ed originally was the virgin/goober in quite a few 80s flicks so the McLovin kid seemed like a good choice for the reprisal. Theres a couple parallels in the kids careers.

Michael Bay, the chrysostomatic and coruscating presence behind so many of today's modern classics, is truly the Steven Spielberg of the 20th century. His movies - or, to put it more precisely, his celestial cinematic orgies of visual pulchritudinous - are teeming with depth and layers akin to the fragrant pedals of a beautiful rose opening up in a glorious shower of velvety red on a crisp, Autumn morning. Most movies could only hope to be 0.1 percent the masterpiece that is Transformers. Or its pulchritudinous sequel Transformers 2: Revenge of the Fallen. Or the trilogy's opus which also happens to be a modern American classic in cinema. Of course I'm speaking of none other than "Transformers 3: Dark of the Moon". The witty title alone conveys thoughts of dandelions and the sweet liqueur of Chartreuse made by French Carthusian Monks.
