Yeah I want to get this polished as well. It's even more beautiful when polished. This piece is def. worth the price when you can bring out the paint like that.

It's 100% worth doing it. All the pics are without flash. And don't be affraid polishing it to hard.

Pics taken outside are only polished 1 time with "Commandant 4"
Pics inside are repolished with "Car-love" ( rubbed really hard)

I've polished the whole thing.

First i've started with "Commandant 4"
Then i've used "Car love"

Both are products for polishing a car.

You can rub really hard, exept for the faceplate ( rub gentil). There is a lot of paint on the bust. When you wax the bust it'll shine immediately and be a lot softer like a new car. Finished with the rough spots.

Looks good.. Even the Proto at SDCC looked spotty and crappy.. Would have never thought to polish it..

I've use an old shirt for the Commandant 4 polish and a just towel for the car-love polish.

I rubbed like hell, there is really a big layer of paint on the bust. Uneven paint, blackspots,.. it'll all come off. At the end my towel whas black/bordeaux.

Before i polished the bust it whas like a dust magnet. And when i tried to remove the dust there whas more. And now the dust just falls of.

I had one fingerprint on his ear --> gone.

If i had another IM bust, i'll do it again.

Both are products for polishing a car. So if you buy a good product it should do the same.

"Commandant 4" is a paste that you rub in, right?
What is "Car-Love"?

Commandant 4 is for paint that has UV-damage or weathered paint,.. to make it shine again.

Car-love is a product for polishing a car. (remove tiny scartches, make it shine again, ...) ( kinda like turtle wax)

It's a german product.

Of course I can't even wax a car without having it look uneven and spotty so I won't be doing this.

I've had 2 busts from Play and both of them were complete crap, the second one had a hairline crack at the back of the shoulder along with all the usual paint issues :-(
