My only real nitpick is the base. Why is the name not centered with the figure facing forward?

THAT IS annoying! Its sort of an old debate but I would have preferred NOT to have nameplates on these. In fact, the nameplate decides which angle is the front of the piece instead of the collector. For a great example of this, see the Danbury Mint Minas Tirith that has the (again, unnecessary) nameplate on one of the "sides" of the city.

Remember well the bases of the SSW statues and busts, allowing one to position the piece at any angle one wished.

On the other hand, after spending hours playing with the QTVR, this piece really shines when viewed at 3/4, the likeness is best there and the wave seems less stiff. I didn't say they don't know what they're doing! :lol

The nameplate is terrible but if they are going to have it at least have it centered with the figure. They did that on Gandalf a little to. To make him face forward the nameplate is off to the side a little. I can't beleive Lucasfilm did not make Sideshow use Nameplates and logos and New Line did!:monkey4

imo, the likeness is there

I agree, the likeness is very good. When in hand I guess there will be plenty of cooing over how cool this one really is. We shall see.

On another note; will this be the last PF this year? I thought Sideshow were going to produce around 2 PF's per year in this line. Lurtz was shipped in Autumn 2006 and we have now had a total of 5 PF's anounced. That should be all there is for shipping this year then ??

Agree....with less lip color. Lighter lips would give the illusion of enlarging them a bit, then would balance the nose (for those who think it too large). Maybe a pale apricot shade?

I wonder, can the cape be removed to leave the lace covering her head as in the film?

Hopefully Klauder will post a Backstage Pass in which he goes all girly and oohs and aahs over everything you can do with her clothing.

Hey, I'd watch that! More than once!

And as for this being the last preorder this year -- it's March. Can they leave this line laying fallow for nine more months?

I'm still not sure that the likeness is dead-on, but by "inconclusive" I meant the poseability of her garments, specifically the hood.

And those arms couldn't be in a weirder posture.

Sorry, but no way is the likeness dead on. It's OK, but certainly nothing special. No excl. either, an easy pass.
