Very true. If you think this paintjob on the prototype is bad, I can hardly wait to see what the rest of them are going to look like.

Maybe a bad choice now. Down the road probably not but Eomer, Theoden, Gimli, Boromir in PF would have been my choices right now. For all I know though her costume was much easier to do than those.

I know how you feel. I think this was a bad choice of character. Way too many Fellowship characters to be done ahead of her. She was probably only the 3rd most wanted female behind Eowyn and Arwyn.

Yeah, and just ahead of Rosie . And of those 3 characters I just found Galadriel to be so one dimensional and boring. Realistically, there will only be 3 females ever done in PF and for one to be done now is waaay too soon.

I wouldn't say that. I just think with Aragorn being the last announcement, it would've made more sense to make one of his love interests as the first female. But what the hell do I know?

This will be the first LOTR PF I pass on, unless I can pick up for under $200 aftermarket.

No Exclusive, but I didn't really care since it wouldn't have made a difference for me.

I'm expecting a LOW ES, and that' won't sway my mind either.

Any ES over 500 will be too big for this piece. I'm in the same boat as you. If I can find it cheap, I'll gladly add it to my collection. If not, it won't be terribly missed.

I think it looks decent, and I pre-ordered it. The likeness is pretty good.

Only thing I'm worried about is the right arm. Not sure if the gown is making her arm look like that, or its really that long.

Well I could say I think this PF is great, and on par with Lurtz and Aragorn...but I'd be lying. I think it's OK, and on par with GTW, nothing more. Do I think it's worth $275 plus shipping...not a chance. We'll let the numbers, as in ES, speak for themselves. Taking into consideration the likeness and/or paint app's issues, the addition of doll hair, and the popularity of the character itself I predict [as have others] this piece will have the lowest ES ever for a LOTR PF statue. And my opinion of this piece isn't going to have the slightest effect on the final numbers.

I don't hate the hair but I hate that it won't match any of the other PF's. Is it too much to ask for SS to keep things the same?

I have to say that I prefer this to the Gandalf PF. Although the bases are different, I think this could be a nice companion to the Frodo PF. I was concerned about how the hair would look, but the hood makes it work.

The hood makes it better but I'm still bothered by the mixed media hair. I'm also a little weirded out by the position of the waving hand for some reason. I'm also concerned that the factory will paint the lips too dark a shade of red. They should be more subtle. The costume looks fantastic and I like the base. Not sure about the centering observation of the name plate but I don't have my other PF's centered to their nameplates either, that's why I wish they weren't there. I think the likeness is pretty good, I see Cate.

All that being said, I've ordered it and plan on keeping it even though I wish they would have done a more cool character instead. I think they've done enough with armor and PF's now that a Gondorian in armour could be a possibility.
