Glad they decided to go with only one type of hair...unfortunately, I think full doll hair would have been better. (I realize that it might have been too hard to root it on top since head is polystone). I think if the lips were less red and more of a coral shade, we'd see more of Blanchette's likeness. ah well.

Still have my preorder and I don't intend to cancel; the costume is fabulous.

I think the mixed hair types just didn't mesh. I wouldn't want to have to pose it with the hood up just to cover up the transition, and now I think it will display better.

It's actually like an excl. now, you can display it with the hood up...or down

The 360 viewing looks way better with the real hair. I so see the fusilli.

After ditching the doll hair in response to our feedback, I think that if the fans now turn against the new hair design the folks at Sideshow will just throw up their hands in despair and walk away.

Yes i agree that it's a big improvement but the resemblance still isn't there for me.

Oh, and when can I expect my free Tibet?

For starters, I saw it for the first time today. The 360 view shows it with the real hair and makes the piece more realistic. This sculpted hair makes it look cheesy.

Last of all, I am not a fan of LOTR.

I did enjoy the second one. Great flick that one was.

P.S. It's a nice piece displayed with the hood up. I actually do like a few of the LOTR PFs. Lurtz, Aragorn, and this one are really great big ticket items.
