I'm not sure ecekat but I have a few hypotheses, one possibly people didn't like the spandex look on wolvie or his pose and were waiting on a 1/4 comiquette. I doubt that it's to make the Wolvie PFF skyrocket as they would make more by just selling more of him and it won't affect them otherwise unless they are involved in the secondary market.

Why would Sideshow care about the wolverine PF price going up? its not like they are going to get a piece of the deal.

Here's the variant besides the original. Took some of the green lighting off the hair and added more coloring to his face. Tanned him a little too.

if you make it as the one above it will be amazing.can we custom the base ?is it possible..the base is the reason this piece is not great imo

I don't see why not, in fact the base should be the easiest to custom since you just have to get the holes for the pegs to fit. I'll probably get a nice big slab or dark rough granite or something with some worm out edges. In fact think about this, if you custom a base for a few figures, they can all fit together in the same base, you just have to cut holes for the pegs where you want them to stand and you can create a whole environment for them. woo!

I agree man, I don't like the base on this at all, it's pretty ordinary compared to other stats like Mystique with a pile of skull base or 'back to black' spiderman with doc oc, scorp and gob parts. Comparatively, the bases on the PFFs have been pretty boring. Mystique PFF was checkers, Sabretooth and wolvie just a bunch of rocks just to name a few.

yeah i agree..sideshow is trying to make easy money imo.i cant understand that.why so hurry??look at gambit's base,it's a circle with an x in it.i can make it also.wolvs and sabretooth's bases are a bit more complex but not as expected imo.the only statue with a great base is silver surfer untill now.hulkbusters base is not as expected also.hope spideys base is excellent,venom's was great also!

I've made custom bases for some of mine by getting off cuts of granite/marble and drilling new peg holes, you will need a pillar drill to do it but granites cheap. My Terminator 2 PF is on an off cut of marble and looks like the floor from the hospital scene.

Yeah a base can really add to the sculpt. The Olivetti venom was not bad and is meant to fit with the Carnage and Spidey.

Yours looks better, but you should do something about the bottom eye lid being all red. Also, if possible, could you try and PS his mouth partiall closed? Just wanna see how it would look. Thanks
