That Starkiller dude fits the bill, he's constantly on video games. He's on my Friends List and that dude is always playing a game, must be nice. Wish I had more time to play.

I've got a few like that they seem to play 24/7 no matter what time i check my list they are playing. :lol

This new study seems incongruous with the current success of so many physical and social games like Rock Band, Guitar Hero, Wii Fit, etc etc.

It's like they traveled back to the late 90's and drew their research then.

For the record, I'm in my twenties and weight 155 pounds soaking wet.

The popularity of World of Warcraft and games of its ilk have likely off-set any gains made by the "fitness" game movement in terms of keeping the average gamer in shape.

well...i finally unlocked this achievement after much time spent trying to figure it out.

I'm 23, fat and depressed. Now leave me be as I strip off all my cloths and cuddle in a fetal position while playing Soul Calibur 4 immersing myself in 3D world.

Fat, sad and 35...BUT, I bet they are ALL cancer free :lol

I don't get this..being over weight increases the risk of getting cancer or diabetes, and not having a healthy sleep pattern(due to long hours of gaming) = death comes soon...for some.

I think they need to do an article and seperate the people that play games and MMO's. IMO opinion MMO's are not games and you will find the majority of the demographic there. :lecture :lol

Thanks for posting the article. :duff

Could you explain how MMO's arent games? I was under the impression they were.

It's a joke meaning that they masturbate all the time.

(there was an article a ways back that jacking off lessened chances for certain types of cancer)

I don't know why i felt the need to explain this either.
"The more you know"

I never heard such a thing.Though i remember hearing increased masturbation leads to blindness..of course thats rubbish just like that article you read.

When the new Final Fantasy game comes out I'm going to weigh myself before I start playing.

Sure, this article sums up my opinion on the matter. I actually think the writer is being quite nice. So instead of me going off about the subject here you go!

That’s right, you read that right. I would like to now officially announce that Multi Massive Online does not a video game make!

For nearly 20 years MMO’s have been methodically stalking the video game market, plagiarizing all of the essence and characteristics that make up one of our all time favorite pass-times: Video Gaming. At first it was text based gaming that was more focused on dating sims/ chat room style gaming that was masked as a sort of Zork-like experience where people were fooled into thinking they were actually playing a game. Then things started to turn more and more graphical as Ultima Online graced the scene and gamers were thought to believe that the World of Britannia had come alive and that everyone they ran into were real people that played an integral part of the “games” storyline. Then of course Everquest and Phantasy Star Online, World of Warcraft, Maple Story…etc hit the shore line and the whole world was online playing video games in one way or another.

Well it all ends NOW.

MMO’s are NOT video games. Video games are highly addictive, storyline driven, high score beating, End Boss ass kicking, make you think for a moment, strategy based, A beginning and an End, bring your friends over and have a party experience. While MMO’s are nothing more than a money wasting, hack n’ slash, leveling up for no reason, Social experiment that millions of you are contributing to on a daily basis.

Not to say that people that play MMO’s are bad people. I just want you to realize that your not playing a video game… your wasting time on a glorified AOL chat room.
