I think the thing that bothers me the most is the odd looking neck to head connection; from the side it looks awful. That should have been addressed better.

You whiny little girl! :lol

Actually, I agree. I've been saying that since the beginning. The sculpt doesn't look enough like the Gamorreans from the film and the coloring is too dark. (Too bad, as it seemed from preliminary pictures that this had been corrected.) The lack of articulation is another problem, but not one that would affect my decision to buy it or not.

Agreed. I still bought it, but whatever. One day I'll have it repainted when I have the cash. I always have my figures displayed in iconic poses from the films, in which case the articulation in this figure works fine. It's just that damn paint job...more pink in the face and less dark green! Blech. I also think the outfit would benefit from a darker wash over it, to make it a bit more stained and worn.

Call me a whiny little girl, but I'm very disappointed in this figure. My despair is not due to the lack of articulation, but due to the fact that it just doesn't look enough like a Gamorrean Guard to cost as much as it does. The coloring is too dark and something about the costume looks cheap, too. This one needs a custom paint job, which will cost another arm and leg. I expect more, Sideshow, especially when an item costs $100+.

I'll do it for just your leg :lol

Agree. I don't think movement of the head would be affected with a thicker neck.

His pants have not really been fixed too.

I like the skin color here.

Glennfett: is the figure really as dark as your pics look? I've seen pics on ebay where the color looked much lighter as if it had been fixed.

Im not too worried about the skin tone yet. Ill wait to pass judgement until I have them in hand. More pics would be nice.

Even if it is a little dark, shouldnt be too hard to lighten it up. Granted, for over a $100 a pop you shouldnt have to repaint anything.

Actually, I get a bit despondent if there's nothing to fix. Hot Toys often depresses me in that regard...

Looking at these pics, I'd say a repaint, some weathering work on the costume, and definitely some added material to the back of the helmet to cover up the pencil neck.

I may see if I can add some ball joints. We shall see.

and for the record the only reason i didnt pull the trigger on this is i'm happy with my hasbro repaint.

I didn't because the only Jabba stuff I have is Bib and Leia, and they were fine on their own.

Since seeing how it turned out though, I'll be hunting down the slug and his throne, and then picking up one, or both.

i have it standing next to me now.he isnt that dark,it is just the lighting in my pics.He is probably close to olive green in colour i guess.
Agree with the head joint.A thicker neck at the back could have been made to make it look better.
I looked over the fur skirt and on the left hand side it has a small clasp to hold it together,so it can be taken off.

Kick ass pose! Great pix! I might steal this pose.
you have to steal this pose. we all do. he has no articulation.

they should have just eliminated the neck articulation too. might as well. they didn't really move their heads in the film so we shouldn't need to move the head on the figure, right?
