They aren't going to charge us without giving us a 24 hour notice. Far as I can remember we have always got the 24 hour notice at least.

what's the big thrill of having a head cast in skin color? ive never had a figure that i didnt like cuz the skin was sloppy. it's the beard and eyes that usually look like crap. no need to get excited about a head cast in flesh tones when the beard and hair is slopped on and the eyes are looking in the wrong direction. that's what i'll be worried about.
People have already gotten this notice. (EU it seems)

well i didnt get charged for a long time for my CW obi. so i'm not expecting a rush on this one either.
Well I know I prefer cast instead of paint because it means the skin details will be as visible as the mold can get, where a painted head, the paint can lessen the visibility of the fine detailing. Particularly on a figure like Gandalf, his worn, aged look might be lessened by paint washing away some of the fine wrinkling, but with cast skin, it should all be there.
As for people jumpy about notices, I understand the excitement, I'm excited too, but I think most of you have seen how behind and messed up things are with General Kenobi, some folks are still just at shipping soon with no sign of that figure going out, I won't be surprised if Gandalf is delayed as they clean up the Kenobi residual issues.

Good point about detail being lost in paint... that seems to be a fairly consistent issues with Sideshow. And in the past their paint work was among the best around for whatever reason its been pretty hit and miss and not up to the level we are seeing from HT.

Yup exactly.
At the very least i would think some email of sort would go out tonight(since some EU people have gotten their charge emails)
i was emailed last week that my obi general was going to ship if i wanted them to ship gandalf with him to save on postage.So im sure we should get our notices sometime this week as that is when i was told Gandalf was shipping-this week.

It's probably because the EU warehouse is far less backed-up compared to the US one.
Hopefully some news tomorrow, This wait is kinda torture.
