Oddly enough, I am more concerned with getting him into my hot little hands then the paint apps. Not a worry that he will be anything less than stellar.

I don't think SS ever even posted pics of Production Gen Kenobi did they?

Well, I imagine unless the production piece is significantly different from the final product, with all the work being put into Spooktacular and clear shipping issues with Gen Kenobi and all, we probably won't see production images of Gandalf until he's started shipping out. Kenobi has less need because the Production sample was on display at SDCC and what's shipping looks exactly like it, we haven't seen Gandalf though.
I just hope IJ is right about the HT way of doing the HS. If that's true i worry not.
If Gandalf's portrait is the HT style, it'll be a real test of the eye paint. Like Frodo, the eyes having just the right look to them is important for Gandalf, Frodo missed the mark, hopefully Gandalf will be a bullseye.
I had no problem with frodo's eyes, no mark missed there to me. (maybe not as glossy as i like but fine to me nonetheless. And i love the vivid color)
They're cleanly done but I find they hurt the likeness and the best photos have shadoows hiding the iris.
I was just checking out the Gandalf 360.... 
He's going to be fun to photograph, one great thing if he is done in the HT style, all the detailing Tim sculpted should shine through and not be buried under paint coats.

I sacrificed both to the Hot Toys demon but I may have to pick up a Gandalf anyway.
