I'm guessing they will... at first I assumed the cast-in color would only be for figures on the bodies. But with Gandalf being on the Buck I think we'll see this replace the old style of painting... which hopefully will lead to more consistent production figures.
Although I do wonder if the prototypes will be cast in color and painted, or remain fully painted like they have been in the past?

Gandalf looks great, but I've lost total faith in this line and I've been priced out of it. My stay in Middle-Earth sure was short. 
Well i'm done getting any figures now until IM so i'm glad this one was a hit.

Well, Gandalf sure turned out to be well worth the wait, and it's great to see everyone making positive comments about him. The Book of Mazarbul looks amazingly real and turned out much nicer than I was expecting. Can't wait till he gets here!!!
For the record, I refuse to even consider the notion that Gandalf will be the end of the line, and I don't believe Sideshow has it in mind either. They're still making LSBs and PFs, and there will be more 1:6 figures, beyond Gimli and the rest of the Fellowship!

I agree there's a Hobbit movie on the way it would be dumb to let it go. It may be slow but that's fine.
Yeah... I think it would be more accurate to say the line is in suspended animation rather than dead.
I'm spreading the word on GTG been over to OSW and RS made a few new GTG threads. I want people to OWN this!
I don't have a problem with slow, or even suspended animation... for a while, but DEAD is entirely unacceptable!

My only issue right now is whether to go the cheap route and buy him from my friend's comic store or get on the wait list for the Exclusive.
I agree with the sentiment above (posted in the Ask Sideshow thread about it) - with The Hobbit in the oven it would seem pretty silly for Sideshow to totally kill the line.
Gandalf is THE character from the movies that I wanted to see in 1/6. Now that he's out I am much more interested in at least picking up Frodo and Aragorn.

Frodo is killer in hand get him.( i got a 20$ gc if you want for him) As for the exclusive, it seems this one actually has a neat factor to it.

Yeah 53$ shipped is great if you don't care about the hobbits ex. CSC has a great deal going.
My Gandalf is still at Item Shipping Soon and my Santa is still at Processing... I am getting tempted to call SS and ask them whats up....
I got my tracking the night before my account ever said shipped. It said item shipping soon until the next day, even after i got my tracking. I would think SS would get out all the orders by the end of the week
