I just wanted to take a moment a give Sideshow a BIG thank you for giving us with a new LOTR figure! Gandalf!!!!!!!!!!!!

Gandalf is next--we know that now. I am going to make a guess and say that we will see three legendary scale busts announced before the next 12" figure (after Gandalf).
Impatient LOTR collectors need to get into that line. It is starting to grow at a pretty brisk pace--seven releases so far in 18 months, compared to six figures in two years for the 12" line.
With all that goes into the production of the 12" figures, it just takes longer.
(But I agree that the line needs a villain soon. Hopefully, the SDCC announcement will be Saruman or a Ringwraith.)
But I don't like busts! I want 1:6 figures, and I want them now!

I'm so happy with the news of Gandalf, I'm even thinking of getting the hobbits... hmmmm.
But I do need a baddie soon.
I'd actually like a Ringwraith better than Saruman though.

Incomplete and pointless. That is how they would look. 
Abake, this will probably be the best chance of obtaining a complete "Fellowship Nine" in any format. You will not regret it.

Maybe a higher than average amount of cancellations have hit these two, so they are really wanting to get a head start on selling them.
That's probably why, the length of time to ship and lack of another announcement until this recent Gandalf tease, I'm sure many collector's are starting to give up on the line. I'm sure it all depends on collecting mindset. I'm taking the LOTR 1/6 line as it comes, get what's offered and live with what isn't.

Price combined with inconsequential exclusives = mass cancellations. Who wants to display Frodo with the Weathertop sword instead of Sting?

Looks like they are sold out now. I wonder if Gandy had anything to do with that.
I can't wait for this PPO. I honestly have ZERO interest in Gandalf the White. So the fact that we are getting GTG first has me very very pleased.

I agree, while the White does a lot of cool stuff... I always think of Gandalf the Gray.
