The pose is the only thing that has me going at all. I can't get a grip on what he's supposed to be doing. The outfit looks great and the sculpt looks pretty good as well.

I can't believe I'm saying this but I agree with you. I don't really see any problems with the sculpt or head. But what the **** is up with his pose?

one of the biggest dissappointments from Sideshow for me. That sculpt is way off. The outfit looks good though.

I just don't see how people are saying the outfit looks good. It's a mess.

The sizes are wrong, colors are off, it is not accurate at all. It looks Hasbro 12" quality.

There where plenty of scenes where his costume was pure white ya know. The rest of it looks good. Sorry G that you don't agree but I don't get how you see that it's not right.

The most obvious problem with the costume is the BRIGHT white "apron" on the PF when is should be more of an off white.

How can you not notice the problem with the length of the costume? That looks horrible.

It does not fit his body the way it should either.

I could live with the Frodo PF issues but this one has way too many problems.

I agree that the costume is a bit too 'white', but when has SS added weathering to the clothes

I think the sculpt looks really good and I just don't see a problem with the head at all. The pose is still pretty *****ty though

Dude, that second picture with Pippin kneeling down, is one of the scenes in the movie where Gandalf's outfit is at its dirtiest.

Yeah, I know. I was more showing it for the upper part that comes off as pretty white. The lower part near the feet is very dirty.

Well I have to agree that the cloak is too long and shouldn't drape over the base like that, it doesn't on the SS WETA GTW. BUT the more I look at this statue and have tried to observe it in the close 360 on quicktime I think its growing on me. I do think that this will look stunning at Comic Con and when you guys that are going take some photos of him I hope you prove me right!!!

Does the lean on the pose have anything to do with the way the cape drapes? It looks like it 2 me.

To be fair, the clothes were probably put on a tad carelessly, and you could display them more neatly with your own PF, even if there were no changes to the tailoring between now and Christmas '09, when this will probably ship.

The color is okay, in itself. It matches the final digital grade of the cinematography, at least, if not the actual fabric (which it might, actually -- you can't use a QVTR as a true representation of colors). The GOSF piece was accurate to the fabric, and people cried "Gandalf the Yellow". So Sideshow is probably just trying to be mentally accurate to the name.

But it still isn't the White Wizard as he should have been, for all the other reasons. Unfortunately.

I think so Josh, I think the drape and line of the cloak is throwing off the statue somewhat in fact as you look at it the piece of cloak draping on the left side (Gandalf's right) I thought it might have been his leg under it like he was lunging which would have been ridiculous, its not thankfully!!!
Also I think on one of the live web cams (the three on the right hand side on the live cam page for CC) the middle one with 3PO and R2 , you can see GTW PF displayed I think not sure though its too far away!!
