Gas prices/collecting habits

I rarely go anywhere anymore and if I do, it's to a neighboring town no more than 20 miles away. I stopped traveling to the bigger cities a lot years ago.

We need to alternatives, but politicians in our government are making too much off of oil to invest in anything else.

A bike doesn't sound like a bad idea for getting back and forth to work this summer.

We have a few cars around here like that. I wouldn't mind one for going back in forth to work or in town, but I would never go out on a highway with one.

I was wondering if anyone owned a hybrid car or an electric car? Is any one seriously looking into one?

With 1 US Gallon = around 3.7 litres, we are paying in Australia at the moment around $1.35/litre.......and with the Aussie around parity with the Greenback......

THAT'S ABOUT $5 PER GALLON.....

Even with the trouble BP had recently....they GOTTA be making some serious $$$$$$$....

Thankfully I live in a small town so I dont consume to much gas, about 2 tanks a month at $50+ a tank, depending on gas prices, so just over $100 a month in gas. Even if it goes to $5 a tank here, I wont have much an effect on me personally.

But you'll spend more $$$ a month to feed a horse than to fuel a car.

No kidding. And if you leave it outside all night in -10 degree weather, it'll turn over in the morning, but you won't get far.

I guess gas is still pretty cheap.

Oil is rising. This hobby is going to get more expensive (transportation costs and resin which is oil based).

I've heard that horse polls are large and probably wouldn't fit in the Darklord's forum unless we got it going fast enough.
