Good to have you with us Richard, too bad we couldn't hear your voice. MAke sure you download the Free Flashback Maps that came with your copy and get your headset working! :)

P.S. I wasn't targeting you, I promise, it's just when I see an enemy I kill it. :D

Glad to be aboard, Israel! It was cool after dying to be able to switch the camera view to follow some of you guys. Hopefully I learned a few tricks!

And I'll definitely download those extra maps so we won't be limited in the future. I was able to send a voice message to a buddy this morning, so I'm hoping that's a sign that the headset works. I had some RB instruments plugged into my unit last night and I'm also thinking I didn't have the headset set to the same quadrant as my controller. At least I hope that's it.

Nope, I think he was playing Guitar Hero.

All I know is when I've signed on and saw a full room (and realized there were non-regulars in the room), if I sent a message saying I'd like to get in all it took was to the next round.

I don't expect an opening until they finish the game they are in (and then only if the non-regular doesn't have a problem with it).

If Kit didn't ask for an invite, I don't know if that's the issue...but I guess he doesn't want to respond or is away.

That's usually the norm, if you want to get in send a message it's as simple as that. If there is space in the room then we usually send invites out as the spots open up.

dunno if I'm right (and correct me if I'm wrong) but I think Kit is of the opinion that a long time regular gamer should get priority over a new guy

The issue is as simple as this. Last night I was on before a room was even started. A few guys signed on and a room was started ( I assume by ill. Josh and Lonnie were two of the first in with him ). I never got an invite when the room was first started even though I was on. People like Pointman and Executer were in that first room as well. Yeah, I was playing GH at the time, but normally invtes are always sent even to people playing other games once the room is fired up. How often have I ever failed to switch over on a Fri or sat night in the last year and a half.

Then throughout the night no matter who signed on ( Hawian Okie, Dee, Jen & Kain once he switched over ) they would end up in the room. I was on the WHOLE time since before the room started up until nearly 11pm and never got a single invite despite people coming and going including some non-regulars.

Simple fact is my personality rubs many people the wrong way. It is what it is. It's no big deal. I would rather someone just say "we didn't want you there" rather than say the room was full all night which is at least partially untrue as I was on and saw what was going on. I am not stupid. I know I ^^^^^ too much sometimes and I know people get tired of hearing it. I am competitive and want to play my best. When I am blowing chunks it pisses me off at times.

I was just saying "Hey, was pretty obvious I wasn't wanted in the room last night so peace".

I got on kinda late last night - I definitely would have invited you if I had seen you were on. There were times in the night when I was playing that we didn't have a full room. I would look to see who else was on and seriously didn't see your name....perhaps you had already logged off at that point.
During the time I was playing no one ever said anything about not wanting you in the room. I think it was just an unfortunate oversight - which has happened to me on occasion too. I usually send a message to whomever is playing to say I'll join up if space becomes available, just so they know I'll switch over if I'm playing something else. I really don't think anything was deliberate Jason......like I said, just an unfortunate oversight. :peace
Hope that you'll still play with us. :duff

Wow Kit, you are reading way too much into it, so much so that I'd say you're paranoid of what others think of you. I got into a room that Sithlord started, then Matrix and Waller jumped in filling in the rest of the spots. I usually don't send invites when I see people playing other games because they usually are not accepted, as Havyk stated earlier, it's normal practice that the person that wants in send a message to anyone in the room so they can get in. You are seriously wound up dude and you need to chill out.

Hmmm....Come to think I didnt get any invites last night either.:monkey2
Jedi Douche.
Oh well, Fallout 3 FTW!!!!!:rock:rock:rock:rock
:lol

I can see both sides of the arguement, part of me agrees that if you wanna play whilst playing another game then send a message or do what I do and just enter uninvited :lol but if he was on from the start and never got an initial invite when the room started then I understand his view as well as surely guys would want a full room as fast as possible

I think we just have crossed wires and personal differences in what people feel comfortable in doing (getting an invite to a party or asking to go)

My $0.02 here.

If I jump on and I don't get an invite, you can easily check your friends list to see if you can "JOIN THE SESSION IN PROGRESS". If you are already on gears, the "WHATS UP" is the same thing.

I also don't send invites to people playing different games. I don't want them to quit the game they are playing just to join us. If they do, that's cool and they can "JOIN THE SESSION IN PROGRESS".

If you are playing another game or are playing the same game with a full room and don't get an invite, you shouldn't read too much into it.

Sorry I haven't gotten around to playing with you guys since that first game I joined in on. I jumped back into Fallout 3, and got myself hooked all over again. Hopefully I'll be able to join up with you all again soon! :D
