just played horde on public with strangers. Can't believe the sillyness. there are 2 players crouched behind a corner (2nd floor Horde Day 1) and just not doing anything!! WTH! Best part is the other 3 of us have died and can't do anything except prob leave the game. Crap the 3 of us managed to get to wave 34 before i realised this 2 nitwits are just hiding and doing nothing! Think they prob just parked their player there and went for a beer or something!! worst part is there are only 4 more locasts left for this wave!!

...So it is really frustrating to get to the courtyard on the way to the Hollow to go back underground and to have all kinds of trouble!!! If it isn't the turret cutting me in half (while behind a column) with 3 bullets, or the Kantus killing me with one burst from the Gorgon, then it's the bleeping tickers or wretches coming up from behind!!! After about 10 tries last night, I finally got all the way through the Maulers and completely forgot there would be Bloodmounts!!! Got one in the courtyard with the Mulcher I had been saving, but as I turned to get the one who came up the stairs and was across from me, he chewed me to pieces before the Mulcher could even get revolving!!! Some of these acts are worse than Insane!!!

I guess you didn't have a sniper rifle. It's pretty easy if you have a sniper rifle and lancer. Just take the turret out with a head shot and then take the Kantus out which takes two screen shots. If you take the Kantus out right away, no tickers show up. I also kept the Mulcher but it's too slow. If you run around a bit, you can get the Sheld Boomers and the Bloodmounts fairly easily. However, it still took me about 10 tries to beat it. Dom kept doing the most stupid things. He'd get downed between two shield boomers, he'd run off in the middle of 3 locusts right at the beginning.

The comm tower with the reavers was kind of frustrating for me and did take a few tries.

Yeah, I did have the Longshot... and i took out the turret and the Kantus with one shot each most of time (after the first couple of tries), and would still get owned by something...

I guess I got lucky at the Comm towers... I didn't think I was doing all that great and there didn't seem to be that many reavers coming in when all of the sudden it was over! :chew

I have sent out a few actually. Jen and ill_jedi have kindly accepted but seems the time difference is making things a little complicated.

I'm halfway across the world, in asia, so the time zone thing is a killer.


Just looking to see if anyone is game for some horde action so i can block out that time in the day (it will be Sat 12 noon for me while it will be 8pm Friday for you guys.

Yea! I got two more achievements tonight!!! Finished the collectibles finally. I also finished Gears on Insane mode (except for the Landown chapter in Act 1 that I skipped) and it gave me the achievement!!! :chew:chew:chew I won't feel "satisfied" until I go back and finish that chapter, but it's nice to get the achievement out of the way!
