:D thanks
I am a little bit of a hoarder (need a bigger house)
The stand is part of a display that Nokia used to give to Cell phone stores to promote their slider ages ago in Canada. I knew a store owner pretty well back then and they were about to throw them out so I told them to throw it my way :D I took the cell phone display of the stand and mounted the Ergotron LX Wall Mount LCD Arm yesterday. I had a cheap $30 Monoprice installed before but nowhere near as cool as this one
I hoarded some more goodies from work and hopefully get to build it and show it off soon :D

I got the lights working !!!!

Hi would like to check with you from the picture your modification to the coffee table ,you didn't drill new hole but just cut slot to lower down? I have the same serial dinning table ,I wanted to use it for 89 bat mobile next year .

OK Finally setup started :)

Hi Geil it seem you cut slot on the table to lower the support. how did you do that with? I have the dinning table that I will prepare for 89 bat mobile I was thinking of drilling new hole for the original screws.

btw did you manage to seal the side ? I do not want dust to get into the display.

Hi

We actually got a discussion going here about this project and some
Ideas on how to do the sides are there too though I have not actually done it :(

I actually bought the dining table for this reason as well but have yet to do it as I would have to wait for the next house :p but upon closer inspection the mounting is different requiring you to drill new holes as screws are used. From I remember you have to drill two sets for each screw just like the original mounting positions. One for the screw itself and one to let you actually access the I side of the leg to install the screw. The metal itself is pretty soft so just need the right drillbits.
As for the coffee tables they used slots and I cut them out lower with a Dremel and the cutting tool.
Make sure to post your progress in the other thread so there is a record of everyone's work and how they went about solving problems.
I am going to eventually use the dining table for Star Wars as I need the height to setup a dogfight w the MF and X-Wings and Tie-Fighters. Then my batmobile will go in the coffee table.
I even bought the coffee side tables as they will make nice individual small displays :D

Yeah I didn't visualize the 3ft+ until seeing your table. It's going to be huge in all possible meanings!!!! YEAH
And thanks for looking. I have not updated this for sooo long as I have not kept anything new unboxed for the past 2yrs :(. Hopefully this year will change
Now let me I mean this thread die in peace :p
