Re: NBA 2012-2013

Kobe to Dwight:

"We don't have time for (Howard's shoulder) to heal, we need some urgency."
"Dwight worries too much about what people think, I told him, 'You can't worry about that. It's holding you back.' He says, 'OK, OK, OK,' but it's always hovering around him. He just wants people to like him. He doesn't want to let anyone down, and that gets him away from what he should be doing."
"(Howard) has never been in a position where someone is driving him as hard as I am, as hard as this organization is. It's win a championship or everything is a complete failure. That's just how (the Lakers) do it. And that's foreign to him.

Howard preached patience in a recent interview with ESPN's Stephen A. Smith, pointing to the fact that Bryant and Shaquille O'Neal needed three years before winning a championship with the Lakers.

But the 34-year-old Bryant is approaching this season with more desperation. "We don't have three years," Kobe said. "We've got this year."

In short Kobe to Dwight:

:lol:lol:lol

I'm so glad that Kobe called D12 out for tonight's game. I think this is the beginning of the end for him and his run in L.A. I think most fans are starting to see that this chump isn't the real deal. I'd much rather him leave and we start over some how. Than to depend on him when it counts. Because he'll never be there when it counts. He has no post game which as lead to his shoulder problems. Every good big man knows to keep the ball under the chin or above the head, put he consistently brings the ball down around his waist and knees, bringing the little guys into play. Plus with the fact that he can't shoot over 50% from the line...:slap Why not try to break his arm on every foul.

I hope this clown gets out of our town (L.A.) and move onto somewhere where winning titles aren't that serious, because he's not a serious player when it comes to those times.

I'll ask again what I asked a week or so ago. Is there any Lakers fans doubting the genuineness or extent of Howard's injuries? He might be injured, but he's not putting in all the effort to come back on the court. Looking to next year and the contract.

I don't doubt that he's hurt. I just don't believe he's injured. I guess we've been spoiled by Mr. Bean Bryant. That's why he'll be solely missed when he's gone.

Re: NBA 2012-2013

Dwight is def hurt but he also doesn't have the mental toughness that guys like Kobe, Lebron, Wade, Garnett, Duncan, etc, have. He doesn't look at his situation and say, "we should be dominating with this lineup!"...instead he thinks,"it's a process that might take a few years for us to contend and that's ok." of course, that is NOT OK.

Re: NBA 2012-2013

Just was read the article on ESPN in his reply and dismissal of Kobe urgency request. It's gonna be a shame if we resign this clown for the league max contract. Defensively he's a game changer when healthy. Offensively that's a while other question. When his athletic ability starts to fade. He's going to be more of a liability than he already is at this point. We're getting a glimpse into the future with his bum back.

Howard doesn't have the stones. Never did. So many people where wrong to say that lebron wasn't hungry enough. Howard is the one that doesn't have the gene.

I think most here already believed LBJ was going to eventually get his ring(s). But I don't think many believed Howard was good enough to be the main guy the team won a title. At least I wasn't one of them.

I so want this guy out of our town!

We're playing so much better with him out of the lineup.

Re: NBA 2012-2013

Do the Lakers run offense through Howard?

Howard has the athletic ability and size that he should be putting up a lot of points simply running around without any set plays at all.

Look at a guy like kenneth Faried. He scores 12 pts a game with ZERO and I mean ZERO plays run through him. He just runs around and grabs rebounds for put backs or alleyoops or easy open shots.

I realize Howard scores 16 per game, but thats probably with a crap load of plays drawn up.

They need to take him out of the set game plan and let him run and just do garbage stuff which he can dominate at.

Offensive set they need start him away from the basket , have Nash or Kobe penetrat and just follow for the pass or rebound.

He's no Shaq.

Re: NBA 2012-2013

Yep...great garbage men make it to the HOF...eg...Dennis Rodman. He's fooling himself if he thinks he's an offensive Juggernaut. And to think he was trying say he was Superman...LOL!!! Funny how we don't hear much of that nonsense nowadays.

Re: NBA 2012-2013

Laker fans...you don't think Kobe is crossing the line at all questioning Dwight's injury publicly? Basically is manhood? I didn't think Kobe could be worse of a cancer in the locker room but hot damn...that boy's done lost his mind...

Re: NBA 2012-2013

Kobe is questioning his ability to play through pain. Howard has been cleared to play by doctors.

Like my man has said above..."he's been cleared by the Dr.'s" already that he would he couldn't do any further damage to the shoulder. He'd just have to manage the pain. It's not like Kobe said anything that I wasn't already thinking. Play through the pain and you'll get your money. The Lakers organization don't treat there franchise players like trash. They remember what you have done for them come contract time. But like I've said before, this guy wants no parts of this organization. It's to much weight to carry around on that bum back of his.

Get out of town!!!

Re: NBA 2012-2013

Finally Matt Bonner is in the 3 point contest (which is my favorite all star event)

Red Rocket is taking this one!
