Re: NBA 2012-2013

IronLungs....6'4" Looks like I'd be running center. (I'm comfortable there though) Even though I've been a 2 guard all my life.
Bodie...6'3.5" You'd be my blockmate (Can you work on the post or are you a strength 4?)
Jstep...5'11" Love for PG's to be close to 6ft.
Denger...5'11" ^^^ Ditto.
Mamba...5'9" Hoping with your stature you are road runner quick.
Shatterer...6'1" Something tells me you can shoot but you'd be the SF.
Wake...6'0" My man Wake why do I get the feeling you love numbers...you have to be the scoring guard.

If you disagree state your case why. Just having some fun with this.

I think my love of numbers would make me an awesome score.....er.....keeper! Lol. I understand every nuance of the game and when I was younger was in great shape but for reason I was terrible as basketball. Not to mention I'm practically Kobe's age.

oh I love the post my friend. defense, boarding and a big fan of the roll off spine rattling picks. as Ive aged my set outside shot has become rather acute, more so than when I was in my prime. yet like you in the organized setting I played 2 and 3, making a living off being a defender.

Yeah, I'd picture myself coming off the bench, role player sharp shooter type maybe like a Steve Kerr type. I play a mean half court game but I can barely keep up with the kids playing full court nowadays. But I can definitely shoot with the best of 'em :lol

Oh man I made a living on being a defender. Won the team defensive player of the year my two years at Ventura college. I just seen my old teammate and roommate Rafer Alston & few other teammates two weekends ago. It felt good to hear that they really depended on me to play those big guards. I always took pride on that end of the floor, but almost 20 years later to hear some of your old teammates give you credit. Man I felt I did my part to help us win back to back state JUCO titles.

I was always quite skinny so I'm more of a shooter than a low block guy. Like a Durant type player - no I never was that good. My wirey frame made me a pretty good defender though. Knee surgery has slowed me down though.

Re: NBA 2012-2013

Is it june yet. To think there are still 30 games before the playoffs... ugh

Re: NBA 2012-2013

Damn! you bastards are all tall. I am only 5'5" but I do play ball 3x a week at the rec center near my work. My offense consists of 3pt shooting (even though we only play games with only 1pt/bucket) and driving and dishing. I can defend but only if I'm not outsized by 2 feet and over 30lbs. If any of you guys are in san diego on business and want to play some pickup on a MWF, let me know!

Re: NBA 2012-2013

that Spurs lose was so bad....We had that game won, lucky 3 at the end to even get into overtime...oh well, still got the best record.

Re: NBA 2012-2013

ESPN is down to its final four in the greatest athlete thing they have going on.

I would like to know out of Bo Jackson vs. MJ. (Please explain your choice)

Who would you choose as the greatest athlete of all time between those two.

Me myself I'd have to go with Bo. Mike was great is basketball, but Bo was an All Star in two professional sports. Considering what Bo said in his 30 for 30 segment. "He just was playing pro football for an off season HOBBY from baseball." We all seen what Mike did when he went to play baseball. He couldn't hit the curve ball. Plus during that 30 for 30 segment with Bo. It was well documented that he did a lot of other sports just was well.

phil jackson once commented that the best ATHLETE he ever coached was Dennis Rodman. One reasoning was to the fact that he could give as much energy in a game from its 1st minute to its last.

Course, question really is was Dennis hopped up on something that gave him that extra energy. ;p
