Re: NBA 2012-2013

Can you link me this information? Because what I find is wholly different. In this article the author finds that LeBron is indeed more clutch THIS SEASON than Kobe. So unless you made a mistake in calculation or are fibbing then I can't comment.
You think I made it up? Why? Were you impressed by Kobe? :lol I used that "Shot Finder" thingymajig you linked too.

Link

I don't want to play the cherry stat picking game with you jstep. It's not even an accurate representation to how I define a clutch player. Again, agree to disagree :D

Re: NBA 2012-2013

C'mon you can't tell me there is a marked improvement in Kobe's game in the last 10 games or so? Srsly?

From a previous post - "all I know is right now Kobe is playing out of his mind - in a season where he was already playing better than he was - and whether that's clutch or not - or if something like that is even quantifiable"

So as you can see i already commented on that but I was responding to how you said he was not playing well until the last 10 games - different than saying playing even better.

I have googled it and nowhere do I see Baltimore Colts championship banners in their dome, only Indy...but if they did that's like what, one other pathetic team out there out of how many?

I don't know about banners but I've heard it talked about quite a bit, I would also be surprised if they didn't have their trophy's in their display cases with their current one. Also it would be interesting to see how many professional teams moved after having won championships previously.....

Apples and oranges, big market little market. The Lakers are blessed with so many other opportunities more than perhaps any other professional team not named the Yankees, it's not even funny.

Well I don't know about advantages, if you know anything about Buss then you know that he made it all happen by paying the money and making the deals with sponsors before anyone else. Well maybe it is an advantage to have an owner willing to spend a butt load of money to win. :dunno

Re: NBA 2012-2013

I never said better player overall but in those 2 Finals, yes he was.

Oh come on now, I asked you before "so do you think Gasol was a better player during Kobe's last 2 champhionships?" and you said yes, which is laughable, I wish I can find your old post.

Now you changed it in those 2 Finals :slap:lol even that is not accurate because Kobe did get finals MVP, that was just your opinion as a Kobe hater.

Re: NBA 2012-2013

Great win today against the bulls. Hope they keep this up. Just cuz we're lakers fans doesn't make us ignorant to facts. Lebron is the best player in the game right now...no argument. I still believe that on the last possession to win the game, people would still take Kobe. Lebron likes to distribute and there's nothing wrong with that but what he needs to understand that him taking a contested shot is prob better than some of his teammates getting an open one. Kobe def thinks this way...almost to a fault but I'm ok with that. As for being upset about his reign coming to an end, whatever. It's been a great ride and I look forward to the next one!

^ Interesting because nba.com shows something different according to my earlier post...

^ Fair enough on all points...

^ Well, since it's kinda hard to win a championship without reaching the Finals, Finals is what I was referring to as "Finals" and "championships" to me are synonymous unless you want to argue semantics too...

Well you think they could magicly appear on the finals during their championships years without going through regular seasons and playoffs? Whatever dude again that was just your opinion the fact is Kobe did get 2 finals MVP during those years.

Re: NBA 2012-2013

Well then riddle me this, how do you explain such a difference in success from one season to the next? if the roster was practically the same (I bolded the carry overs from 2007 to 2008) and they went from a POS 42-win team to a championship team CLEARLY the result was from adding Gasol.

Kobe was able to muster nothing yet Gasol added 15 regular season wins and added 15 post season wins. Yes, one can confidently argue Gasol was the best player during those 2 title runs as Kobe was irrelevant during that time after Shaq left. Kobe was nothing after Shaq left and nothing until Gasol came along. Kobe has always been second fiddle on all his championship runs. If I'm wrong then explain to me the discrepancy in success when the talent level was nearly identical?

No need to explain, you are entitled to your own opinion it doesn't change the fact that Kobe did get 2 MVP Finals. It doesn't change the fact that Gasol was eliminated in the first round for 3 straight years and did not win a single playoff game before he played with Kobe. Kobe brought his team to a playoff and to the game 7 againts the Suns with Smush Parker as starting point guard and Kwanme Brown as starting center. Anyway, I am done arguing with you, I don't want to waste anymore time, keep on hatin him all you want it doesn't change his greatness and legacy :lol

Yeah Gasol sucked. Meanwhile all he did was make the playoffs all three seasons during that time period while Kobe made the playoffs 2 out of those 3 seasons. Gasol also had more regular season wins (144-121) than Kobe while playing in the same conference. Oh, and during that 3 year period that Gasol did not win a single game, he lost to the defending world champ and eventual West champs with arguably less talent than Kobe and no Phil Jackson.

Who did the Lakers lose to? The Suns. A team that failed to make the finals in any of those years.

I'm happy about the Lakers, but right now the Heat are on a .....

Still. Go Lakers :D

Re: NBA 2012-2013

ROFL! so true! let's just bench all the starters again and call it a rest day. :lol

Can't wait for the spurs to get knocked out in the first round. you know it's happening.

You can't be that stupid to believe that...eh, actually, you probably are.
