I will quote this for you.
Are you still celebrating the Spurs 25+ point wins? Or maybe there great 40-1 home record.

Dudes won two championships, been to six straight, he doesn't need to prove anything. He also has around 5 MVPs.

So what are the excuses going to be LeBron lovers when he's about to fall to 2-5 in the Finals? (should be 1-6 but whatever)...Does he opt out AGAIN and move to another team so he can prove his greatness to everyone??
It seems like a lot of us are all around the same age...like I posted before, my formative NBA were the late 80's/early 90's. I grew up on Jordan, and loved the Riley Knick teams...just wanted to see someone be able to stand up to Jordan. The Lakers beget the Celtics, who beget the Pistons, who beget the Bulls, who beget the Rockets (you could probably add the Spurs to that as well).
One thing I'm not though, is a sports "purist" (<--this might not be the right word for it, but it's the best I could think of). I have no issue with players leaving and creating their own destiny. These players make the team owners a ***** ton of money, and have the right to do what's best for them. Just like in the real world: why would I continue to work for an employer who doesn't maximize my full potential?
I know the Decision was bad form, and rankled a lot of fans. Coincidentally, I was in Cleveland/Akron the night the Decision happened (en route to Des Moines, IA), and read Dan Gilbert's butt hurt letter on the internet afterwards. But I do agree that time heals all wounds, and that Cleveland would have gotten over it, even if Lebron didn't come back last year (I think Lebron would have come back anyways, as Cleveland, and more specifically Akron, OH, is part of his makeup).
I see Lebron going away to Miami akin to him leaving for college, which, of course, he never did. He wasn't ready to carry the burden of the hopes and dreams of an entire city yet, and had to go away to get some perspective. Was it the easier road? Sure. Y'all mentioned that Michael Jordan had Scottie Pippen and Horace Grant, both drafted by Bulls (Actually, Pippin wasn't drafted by the Bulls; he was picked fifth overall by Seattle and then traded to the Bulls for Olden Polynice and draft picks). But Cleveland was never going to be able to build a supporting cast around Lebron. After Lebron was drafted, here are Cleveland's picks: 10, 55, 42, 25, 19, 46, 30, and 54. Sure, Cleveland could have possibly struck gold with one of those picks, but it's not likely.
I enjoy watching Lebron play. And I root for him to suceed. I'm not ashamed to admit that. I haven't been wowed by any NBA player since Jordan as much as I am about Lebron.
That also assumes that the two stars will be both in single digits with 6 min left in the game. And like they may not even really play the rest of the game at this point. When the bench is doing this good, this is a sure sign that this is going to be a long series. Chances are they won't keep this up
Warriors bench outplayed the Cavs. Missed oppurtunity for the Cavs. They should have won when Curry and Klay are struggling.
Well said
How did this delladova clown get in the Nba? He had to be the worst player on the floor and that includes the refs and announcers
If LeBron didn't turn the ball over twice in a minute the Cavs would be back in this game. Then again, if Irving took good shots it would be a close game as well.
I think Cavs win game 2. They won't shoot 39% again.
bah, I feel like the true battle was already slugged out in the West. Watching the game I cant help but feel a sweep is possible
^ On the flip side, no way Curry(11 pts)/Klay (9 pts) play this bad again...
And on the flip side of that, Warriors bench won't shoot as good as they did either
But yeah, I expect Curry and Klay to step it up. I expect the Cavs to shoot better and I expect the game to hopefully go down to the last few seconds.
