You do realize they have to make these, so cast, assemble, paint ,box them up. Last time I checked making a product cost money. You guys are funny. :lol

I do agree almost 700 bucks is a huge premium price though. I'm interested in Lucky, but if the price is close for the regular statues - I'm out.

The point that seems to elude you is that if they can make a profit selling these at 300 - 350 a piece-ish, they're just raking in the money for a colored alt.

Is this concept really that hard to grasp? Nobody ios trying to say they magically conjured the money. People are just commenting that its easy money since this is just a variant. Its just a cash grab, don't know how to simplify it any further. :slap

I understand completely. People are paying, so it seems to be a good plan on their part.

It's just the concept of "money for free" that eludes you. Everything costs, it's all about profit margin.

And just why should they be no more? Because you say so? Look, on one hand, I wouldnt like it either if these were crazy expensive but they have the final say in the matter. And if they dont sell, maybe then theyll think again. But the red variant of wisper already showed that people are willing to spend on these girls.

Besides, Im just bummed out that we were too late for the red variant... wanted her but dont have that kind of cash now... Id rather pay that much for something that nice and that limited that also has the exteme possibility to actually look like the prototype then two statues from SSC that I need to destroy again because they just dont care...

Can we just agree that some people are priced out and for others the price is worth it and move on?

What's the point of pages and pages of price discussion, the statue is now sold out so it's not something you can even hope to influence. It all comes down to whether an individual feels it is worth it.

its funny how people complain abt high prices but dont have any hesistation in asking 3 times the original amount for a statue they have and want to sell citing rarity, exclusivity and all, wat if Sideshow had priced the orignal doom pf at 1000$

Exclusivity and the accesories/parts that the SDCC Whisper comes with probably has a lot to do with that $700 price. I doubt any of the other Honey Trap releases will match Whisper's regular release price.

This is always the case. As if GG's job is to make money for the collectors. GG and others should price their stuff at whatever the market is willing to pay for it and to hell with the secondary market that wants to turn an easy buck. I see this with artwork all the time.

well, at least if must have put off people who were planning to get 2 or 3 to flip, lol ,

Here's my idea, since there seem to be enough fools to pay $700 for this type of thing.

Instead of them selling them in an edition size of say 1300 for $350 each -
Sell 1300 of them for $280 each
Sell 150 of them (extra special rare repaint) for $600 each

Then everyone wins! GG makes their money; the regular collectors get them at an affordable price; the rubes get their limited edition version and subsidize the rest of us!

What's wrong with the way they did it?

The Lucky one looks cool, nice pose and nice little shorts:p

Having said that, it needs a story. Because otherwise it's just some scantily dressed chicks, might as well make em naked because the purpose is really the same.

The other thing is the Gentle Giant ordering process is hilarious, I gotta join some guild to order and pay 80 bucks? and then I might not even get an order in? People actually do this? Wonders never ceases I guess!
