Personally, they ain't worth ****. :dunno

Generic and designed with as much sense as a Picasso. I generally keep my mouth shut when I don't have anything nice to say, but these statues are lame. How lame, exactly? About $669, apparently.

These are worth exactly what people are willing to pay and I dare say gg will still sell out if the edition size is a few hundred.

I bet they will. If people want to collect a super premium, super limited statue, then GG can move them. And the preorders on the variant sold out in like 12 hours. I don't have a problem with the price, even if it is out of my budget. If they can get it, then good. Why should they be obligated to leave all their profit on ebay?

To quote myself from this thread:

At least it's a figure from a pretty damn good movie with very little collectible stuff out there. $669 for GG's Honey Trap Whisper Variant Statue with no relation to any movie, comic, game or anything else - that's crazy.

and now I can add the reg to that.

Yo can get Sauron for $200 more and Ringwraight for $100 more. Those pieces are worth the pricetag and value for money.

I was about to say exactly that.
Or get both Sups and Bats PF.

GG are basically exploiting the flipper market, they know some value T and A with limited edition, and the mad ebay prices support that theory, no reason for them not to exploit it,
if i made a 10000 of this for abt 100$ , no one would buy,

I hope this line fails. The last thing we want is for SS to be encouraged to put there prices up even more.

They're more than exploiting the flipper market, as only Sucker Punch's BD is really fetching crazy prices.

It's just as well that they priced it at that price, because even at 1/2 that I'd have to seriously consider it for a non licensed product.

They can shove it up their collective arses, harpoon first.

Time to unsubscribe to this thread. They had such a winner if they weren't so greedy.

IF they kept the say $300 pricepoint this kind of piece deserves it would have been a knockout ! But this >????

i second the harpoon bit is a very good idea :lecture

One other point to add to the lunacy - the SDCC version is available 2Q2013... a REPAINT of the same sculpt isn't available until 2Q2014???

I guess they want a year to milk the suckers who jump on this. I bet they're hoping for the SDCC piece to skyrocket to help justify people in ordering the regular.

they had me with the ideas and the sculpts, they lost me with the price tag... seriously, some people might afford this but would they earn more money if they had priced it lower so more people would actually buy these? I would have bought the entire line weren't it not for this ridiculous pricing :(

this line will be done with low es and the girls previewed so far, Im pretty sure, if they set a low ES then they can set watever price they want and people will gobble it up, because its become " a piece of art with low ES" and once its gets sold out, they will show up on the day of coming in stock on ebay for 1000$ from these so called artlovers :D
