I honestly don't see how they can ship these without some kind of damage to the bubbles. Even the ones they were selling at the GG booth were a tad beat up. I hope they designed some kind of weird shaped shipper for these.

Luckily, my Boba from CV is absolutely mint and pristine, but the Stormie I got at SDCC had a slightly dented bubble (but I didn't pay full price so I won't complain. :lol)

But, yeah, these would be awkward to ship unless they use a large box with lots of packing peanuts and bubble wrap.

There were some really bad reports on the 'scum about Gentle Giant's packaging jobs from people who ordered the Stormtrooper. Hopefully they'll work a little harder on mine since I ordered both figures at once. Who'm I kidding, they'll probably use each figure as protective padding for the other one and call it a day. :pfft: Quote below...

I received my stormtrooper from GG today damaged. Shipped in a box it barely fit in and no room for error from UPS. Wish me luck with GG customer service. I have heard horror stories about there lack of customer service.

received mine today in great condition. The box it was in was a good size plus reinforced inside with other boxes inside to keep it flat. maybe a few isolated ones were shipped poorly?

with mine, the box was pretty beat up and the star case is in pretty crappy condition, but i think the actual card, clamshell, and figure are fine.

I do have to agree it was shipped like a piece of trash.

Yeah I got mine today and the clamshell is beat up as well. the card and figure are fine... There were like 3 peices of paper inside the box for packing material....

Makes me feel like I've wasted my money. My first time being disappointed with GG shipping

The box GG is shipping these figures in barely fits and leaves NO room for error/damage. They are using balled-up packing paper and no bubble wrap or peanuts.

Oh, great. I can't imagine what mine's going to look like when it arrives today following it's 7 day journey from California to Maine.

It reminds me of Mattel and Hasbro's packaging jobs. At least with Hasbro, I'm not paying alot; with Matty it's alittle worse. But if I get these results with an $85 figure (or the rumored future price of $65), I'm out.

I live less than half an hour away from Gentle Giant in Burbank, CA and my Fett arrived today...

I got my first stormtrooper off eBay and the second one from GG. It's sad that the eBay purchase had bigger and better packaging.

WTF are they thinking with this packaging? I can only hope that they got enough complaints on the first round of shipments that they will change something.
