I've gotta say, the way people were clamoring over these figures at CV, I never expected them to just be available on the web site. Kind of makes all of the trouble some people went to seem silly. Anyway, I ordered one of each. I'd really like to see them in person, and I figure I can always get my money back (or more) if I decide to sell.

What's the shipping like with GG stuff? Is it pretty well-packaged?

I know these figures can be removed and put back into their packaging, so I'm not worried about MOC/MISB stuff - but I'm hoping if I order one it won't get mangled or bent up.

Their shipping is nothing fancy (usually they stick something in a box and add a piece or two of folded paper to pad it), but I believe that these vintage 12" figures are packaged inside a plastic clamshell to protect them.

Someone on 'scum posted saying GG only allotted 150 Fetts per day the con. So I think that means 60% were reserved for the web site. I guess they'll feel pretty stupid if they don't sell out on the web site when it sounds like they could've sold the entire run at the con. You'd think they would've been a little more bullish about how many they could move there considering it was a dedicated STAR WARS convention and all...and Star Wars fans kinda like Boba Fett. I mean it sounds like they sold 500 of each Pan's Labyrinth bust at SDCC, or I assume so since none have shown up on their web site as far as I as a non-member can tell...and Pan's Labyrinth and SDCC don't exactly go together as well as Star Wars and Star Wars Celebration V.

The thing I don't understand is that I thought the con exclusive figures were supposed to only be available PGM members. I heard more than one person say they joined (at $60 a year) just to be able to order them. But looking back at an email from GG, I guess it does say that they would sell remaining stock to the general public after the show (at least for SDCC).

The PG members were able to do a guaranteed preorder before the event, but it was stated that extras would be available after the show to the general public.

Yeah, but I was working under the assumption that the remainder would've already been claimed by PGM member preorders, and that the the 600 or so sold at CV would be the last of them. Apparently not. I'm interested to see how long the Fett in particular lasts online. I guess the stormtrooper has actually been available for several days.

The Boba is "currently not available" so I suppose I'm glad I put an order in. Really just did it because I thought it would be funny, since all three of my early days at CV I walked right past that insane line to do art, autographs, or otherwise.

I got a sales email eatlier today from them, below, but it was Waller's note in the WTB that sent me to the site to purchase.

Ah, thank you. I wasn't hoping for much - just that the clamshell/cardback won't look like somebody stepped on it. If this was shipping from Hasbro, for example, I would just expect damage...
