Pretty much like the SSW statue.

I noticed the similarities as well.

Still a nice piece though, especially since I don't have the WETA version. I'm not entirely hooked on this line, but this one does stand out from the others, IMO. I won't pre-order, but I'll probably pick it up when it's released.

I know that some don't like the animated style but the Star Wars pieces are my favorite things that GG makes. I have now gotten into the Pirates line as well, and if I had the room I would love to get the LOTR ones. They are unique and give you something different in your collection. (Like the Star Wars deformed VCDs.)

I love the animated SW and Pirates lines. They're the only things I'm buying from GG right now; that is until Indy comes along. But I've always had trouble connecting LOTR to the animated line. Not sure why.

But the Twilight Ringwraith is something that deviates from major characters enough to get me interested in buying it.

I know that some don't like the animated style but the Star Wars pieces are my favorite things that GG makes. I have now gotten into the Pirates line as well, and if I had the room I would love to get the LOTR ones. They are unique and give you something different in your collection. Friggin Sweet....love this line from the very beginning...Can't wait for the delivery of my Ringwraith on Steed...this is another great surprise.

Can't wait for Boromir, Aragorn, and Hobbits...not to mention an animated Sauron!!!

Ok, I have neither piece, but that Weta statue is simply the Dogs B*****ks! It is one of the absolute grail pieces of the SS/W line. It is, quite simply, superb!

The GG Animaquette is a very stylised version of what was seen on screen but in now way does it compare to that SS/W version, no way!

I cannot afford the SS/W one but would be happy to have a very nice representation of this character with the GG one.

In no way could the two pieces be compared; they are two completely different styles and personally I would like them both for their equal originality.

Yea, the SSW originally was $150, who knows how much it would cost now to get it. The GG piece is only $80, so I'm down with GG piece.

I've owned the SSW version and sold it 2 weeks after getting it. IMO the SSW piece is as much of an overrated piece as I've ever seen. It was not worth the 1k I paid for it and is one piece I do not miss selling what so ever.

I like the look of this much better than that maybe because I think the twilight effect looks better done in an animated style.

It was the first Sideshow Weta piece I ever bought except for the Argonath bookends. I don't think that statue is overrated at all. I really like how the robes are done. Now if we are talking overrated, my vote goes to Orthanc.

I owned the big three for two weeks and don't regret selling it at all. Now, I can't stand the thought of selling my Balrog, CT, or what I consider the a better item for the big three is the RWOS.

I have most of the biggies in person(thanks to Danny) except The Balrog. I agree that the RWOS is probably the best, followed by the Cave Troll. The Witchking is up there though. At least for me.

Its cool. I guess I was expecting to be blown away more by the WiKi but just never was. The Balrog 2 me is the best I just love that piece. A piece that for me ranks high is Sauron its just so cool but the ES doesn't help give it the same feel to most.

Another great one that gets somewhat overlooked is the Morgul Lord, also due to the es I think. One of my favorite statues out of the entire line is the Easterling. The detail on that thing is just amazing. I would kill for a PF of that.

Yeah, the ML is another very solid piece and IMO better than the WiKi. The Easterling is AWESOME!! It would make a great PF and one I would consider.

Not meant to be, but for sculpt and intricacy the SSW blows this pearlescent cartoon out of the water.
