btw I love the Crank films. They aren't meant to be taken seriously. Heck, the director and actors know they are corny and unrealistic, but they are good fun, and sometimes that's enough. Some people have a big chip on their shoulder and can't wrap their heads around that. To me these movies are far more entertaining than your Thor and X-Men variety... (exception to First Class, that was so well done!). Oh yes, I went their comic fans!

They know what they made. They wrote Crank 2 so crazy, and insane that no one would want to do it. But they slowly realized how fun it would be to do....so they done did it!

he is a HUGE fan of Ghost rider and the first movie was made in the first place because he is such a big fan, I think the first one they were running out of budget and he even helped to get it made, that's how much he wanted it to be made

True about Cage being a big fan of Ghost Rider and Marvel comics in general. He even changed his last name to "Cage" from Coppola after the Marvel character, "Luke Cage."

By studio standards for a sequel, yes.

I think budget was 110 million and made 237 million worldwide.

237 million box office. The studio will only see around 50% of that money, the rest going to the cinemas that sold the tickets. You take in the cost of promoting the film as well, that is not included in the budget and that would eat up all of the box office return. Only money they would have made was from DVD sales and Merchandise, which won't be a great deal but glad we are getting a chance for a second better movie.

It's still considered a success by a studio to greenlight a sequel. The Expendables had an 80 mil. budget and pulled in $274 worldwide and was considered a success and of course it has a sequel. Not much difference between GR's $110 mil. budget and $230 mil. gross and what TE1 did.

Absolutely. In my book 2012 movie year kicked off early with TPM. I'll catch this, John Carter, COTT 2 before big guns hit. They'll all probably suck walrus nuts but I don't care.

A first time in a long time I am going to the movies prior to May. Typical viewing span for me is May - Aug anything else is a rental. This year Jan - Aug

God____ingdammnit. Not even the devil could make anything good out of that ____ty script. I feel bad for Neveldine/Taylor. They tried. They tried so hard. But it just sucked. I didn't hate it. But man, it was ____ing BORING.

N/T should've just re-wrote it. I wish it was stupider. The action was great though. And Ghost Rider looked neat. But yeah. ____.

It took too long to get anywhere. I wanted LESS story. Set up the movie, and get going. But I blame the script. N/T always write their own, and it feels natural. This felt...synthetic. Except during the action.

Oh and Cage was fine. A bit too crazy, needed some more of his Drive Angry character.
