I tried bleaching it with a 1:1 bleach/water solution with no luck. Don't want to use pure bleach for fear of corroding the metal studs.

It can't be bleached as its nylon thread. Its the same way when you dye something the stitching remains entirely unaffected.

Here's my Pete mock-up. Snyder's Murray head, Soldier Stroy body/suit, random stand-in boots. The length here is good, but I may shorten his legs a smidge as once I add the paunch that might pull up on the outfit. That's also about the shade my suits look in-hand at least toward the top, bottom starts to get blown out by the reflection.

As for height, K, I think you were right in that they four the most part about the same size. Peter tends to slouch though which is what I think makes him look shorter in some shots. Once I get everything futzed properly I think the SS neck will help create that gangy look.

Received my Rocco sculpts. Now awaiting Spenser's set. Will review both plus Snydermans venkman when it comes in

Suit is definitely a good fit there Mando. Looking good!

I got my elastic in and started working on elbow pads. I followed Mando's instructions as best I could, but if you leave the elastic in its original state it looks too wide on the figure for my tastes. And it won't bunch much at all. So, I tapered the elastic down so that it looks bunched up a bit using some wire cutters. Cuts are a bit rougher than I would like, but it's hard to be real precise with this material in this scale. I added the black using a Sharpie pen. Also, these are actually fairly tight, but the Superglue I use seems strong enough to handle the job.

Indeed, shipping to the UK will cost you. I got my set of 4 off an eBay seller for £210. After taking customs and VAT into account, the damage was £260, so I'll have paid £65 a piece. Could be worse.

Thats not too bad considering what the individual packs and traps were selling for on ebay recentley.

Nice tip on the proton pack cable shortening Mr.E
Was thinking it was a bit long myself.
The original tool belt can be painted and modded but the tan ones look good, you could paint a white wash over as they look a better match with the fastenings.
Nice work on the pads the elastic looks good they way its tapered:)
I like that flight suit but the length of the legs is the only niggle.

Looks very nice Elvis. Are those the stock Matty gloves? I like how you took that sculpt and created a non scene-specific look with it. Also, is that a flight suit with longer pant legs?

Yeah those are the stock Matty gloves, I really like them.

I just shortened the arm and drill a bigger hole to fit the big plug inside the gloves.

It's the same suit you used, kinda a bit short but it works tucked in the boots.

I never quiet like scene specific sculpt, but in this case the sculpt was really too good. I tried to paint it not too scene specific :)

Really nice, love how the jumpsuit and everything else seems to sit so naturally on this figure.

Now that the Mattel figures are on their way, I'm beginning to think about gathering the other pieces to make my customs. I'm really digging Spenser's headsculpts, while planning on keeping the Mattel jumpsuits. It seems like most people are using Newline German Fallschirmjager jump boots and the Soldier Story M1936 Pistol Belt. Any good places where I can get these? Besides eBay, of course.
