and officially ____ this movie. I was already worried about it but figured with Murray being so adamant of a good script that it might work out. If he is out then so am I.

What a shame. Of the original cast, Venkman's character was my favorite, or at least it's a toss up between him and Rick Moranis, whom Akroyd said recently they wouldn't go forward without. Oh well, if GB3 ever gets made, it's supposed to be all about passing the torch anyway. I hope the rumor about Anna Faris being in it is true, that's pitch-perfect casting IMHO.

Ugh. The thing I'd want to see less than old Ghostbusters running around is 20/30 something "comedians" trying to do their own spin on GB. Let's just cast Michael Cera, Channing Tatum, James Franco and Donald Glover and call it a day. Jonah Hill could play Moranis' part.

It's dead. Let it die. Dan just let it die. Venkmans the main character, don't fool yourselves. It really is Peter Venkman and the Ghostbusters, it's like making a Batman movie with no Batman.

And heres the only viable option at this point. Bill's problem is "No one wants to see old men busting ghosts."

So make it a CGI animated movie like Pixar set in the 90s and get Bill to voice it. He did Garfield afterall.

Don't kid your selves dudes... you know this movie is going to happen regardless. Just might as well take advantage of the fact that the entire cast (-1) is in for it. If they wait too long more people may decide to leave the project. Ghostbusters is a great concept. Let them do it and revive it right, with the original cast passing the torch to new actors. It could work, it could work...

I don't understand why everyone is so quick to ____ on every movie idea lately. It's not like there aren't capable film makers out there.

Give the damn movie a chance...

Mainly because while there are capable filmmakers although I doubt the Coen Brothers will sign up for Ghostbusters 3, there doesn't seem to be any new ideas left in Hollywood. Ghostbusters was fun, Ghostbusters 2 a wreck and to suddenly "need" a sequel to that seems strange. I would argue that the premise isn't even as unique as it once was but if it's so damn good then just relaunch it outright, making it an unneeded continuation never really works anyway and is just squeezing that last cash cow for anything they've got left, I don't really see a reason to get excited for it in the first place but without Murray it seems a waste to even try.

Well, maybe if Murray weren't such a diva, they could've done the movie like 10 years ago, and not look like old farts... !

Anyway, I am bummed as I really wanted to see more GB on screen... I actually see this now as a good thing to keep things moving forward... but it could go horribly wrong...

Whatever, Even if the movie sucks this movie needed to be made a long time ago, is way overdue, if anything it will have some serious kick ass Ghost effects, I would be happy for that alone,
I mean, Is the Ghostbusters, maybe is just nostalgia but I really want to see this made, I think it will be cool.

Murray, I also Do love him, but right now he is totally impersonating his Character in Kingpin too much in real life lol, the script might suck but, he is such a diva, omg..

He was the Voice of Garfield of God's sake, seriously,Garfield.. GARFIELD!!!

I know is for kids but, that movie destroyed Garfield for me, it was godawful.... and he Returned for the Sequel... Tale of two Kitties.
I mean aRE YOU F#@% Kidding ME??? I felt braindead after watching that first movie, seriously

...God, I need to breathe.. just trying to think about this makes me so mad... if he didn't say yes to crappy movies I would accept his Ghostbusters 3 weirdness.. but GARFIELD? WTF?
