well i was hoping for a group discount here but i had a contingency source. they had about a dozen cuz i added them all to my cart just to double check. couple days later they were sold out. if i see any more im buying them ASAP.

I haven't received an "out of stock" email from my retailer yet, but when you order, they let you put in the numerical amount, so you have no idea how many they actually have in stock.

Has anybody heard anything about the backpack frames (is there going to be a group order like the proton packs?) If not, does anybody have some suggestions of where to look or WHAT I should be looking for? A link would be awesome!

This is your best bet if you wanna order one:

I believe someone is going to attempt customizing one for the group so we don't hafta buy the whole Alice Pack Set.

However in the spirit of sharing a good deal with the rest of you I would urge any of you looking for the AN/PVS-5 night vision goggles to make your ecto-googles (trinocular visors, whatever you prefer) to head over to OneSixthDepot and do a search for "night vision". There you can buy the goggles loose. They are the 21st Century Toys sculpt of the AN/PVS-5 that were originaly part of their 75th Ranger Recon Outfit Set. You can pick up a pair for the low, low price of $2.49 and if you buy during the month of July you will save 25% off your total order. Not too shabby eh?

I found this beauty after I had already bought two sets of the Ranger Recon Outfits at $14.99 each. So trust me take your time and source things as your funds allow. Especially if your spending all you cash on jump suits instead of paying for your proton pack kits. Some of us have cash in hand waiting for the second run to begin.

That is awesome, Spook! I didn't think I'd ever find those and would have to scratchbuild them. There's still some in stock...I only grabbed 2.

I E-mailed both Monkey Depot and Storeroom.com about our need for the mass jumpsuits and alice frames to put together some sort of deal or to at least see if they could order that many of each for us and neither even bothered giving me the courtesy of a simple response despite all of the business such a deal would bring to them.

I'm glad you guys have been able to grab at least some stuff SOMEWHERE. Now I'll write War Toys I guess and hopefully between that and Slades inquiries (thanks for all your hard work with everything too Slade!) we can get a response from someone.

-Rick :)

I think the problem with the alice frames is that there isn't anyone who is currently manufacturing them. Dragon made them in accessory packs probably 5 years ago and BBI has produced them more recently but are still a couple years out of production. Most of what is available is NOS so most stores probably don't have access to a ready supply to give a bulk discount even if they wanted too.
The Saturday Toys stuff on the otherhand doesn't seem to vary at all in price no matter where you source it from. Some places even tell you it's not eligible for a bulk discount when you put their stuff in your cart. Maybe the online stores don't get much of a discount to begin with and can't pass anything along.

i ordered 2 suits today and i already ordered those goggles last week Spook Nukem. they should be here soon. i didnt know how accurate they were cuz the pic on that site sucks so i wasnt gonna give you guys the heads up til i received mine. but they look pretty damn close and they have a strap and everything. i

Count me in on the "4" ghostbusters and their backpacks, if possible.

I'm going to check with a bud and see if he wants in as well.

Thanks!

EDIT: Bud said "Yes", so please put me down for 2 pairs of the above mentioned items.

You are probably correct. I don't think the jumpsuits are marked up that much at $17.99 and most stores are probably selling them at retail.

Has anyone tried Urban Samurai yet? For some reason I can't get their U.S. page to load, but their Canadian page works and I know we have some Canucks on this board. Here's the link, though I didn't see Sat. Toys jumpsuits:

Are there any 1/6 alice frames on sale anywhere in the world?!?

I just wondered...

Incidentally, I saw a great jumpsuit on ebay, which unfortunately is the wrong colour, but really matches the onese in the movie for pockets etc:

Maybe someone knows if this was avaliable in a Ghostbusters suit colour, or if it could be dyed easily?

I'll be honest I have pretty much resigned myself to the fact that no matter what suit (flight, jump, coveralls, etc.) I get it's going to have go through some sort of dying process to get the correct color. Even real khaki flightsuits have to be dyed to get the correct GB1 color. On a khaki colored suit I usually use pearl gray with a little bit of navy blue. If I was going to try a green suit I would probably use color remover a few times to try to lighten it up before trying dye.

I picked up a few different flightsuit/coveralls off ebay to do some test dying with. I am trying to stay away from auctions that offer single suits if I can't identify it's origins. No sense in finding a great suit if you can only find one of them. However if you find a promising suit and the price is right it might not be a bad idea to take a chance even if you might have to dye it in the end.

Cryo / Craw: I am waiting on a bunch of stuff to arrive including the goggles. Any stuff that relates to this thread I will try take pictures of and post to give you guys some ideas as well as places to find similar stuff. I did get my Newline German Paratrooper boots but haven't had time to get a picture of them yet. Although they are lacking a side zipper they really look fantastic.

my goggles should be here this week. they just got shipped yesterday. i also got four $.01 walkie-talkies.:google i also found a pile of old electronic equipment at my job. it has a lot of small gauge wires on it. might have to harvest them for the packs. it also has some small clear/yellowish tubes that i think will work out great for that hose thing that hangs from their hips.

a custom head of Vigo and Peck would be wild right¿¿???? I would like to make also the sophomore that gets the electrick shots from Venkman:sick

I found another one that has all the pockets in the right places, and is even the right colour - except a little too dark:

Also, they're nice and cheap and the seller has 11 of them!

i still like the tan prison coveralls best. they may not be entirely screen accurate but i think they look pretty good on the pic that WST showed. i got two sets coming so we'll see.

For those who still want the Saturday Toys jumpsuit, I just found out that Cotswold has 5 left. I'm still waiting to hear if they can get more from Sat. Toys, so there may be more on the way, but I wouldn't sleep on these. I think this may be the best suit, I think the green SWAT suit will be too tight on the HT bodies, which is what I plan on using.

And here's a link you lazy b****s!
