And let's all be glad for Ada:

Cryoguns, you jumping ship on these suits or did you just buy too many? I bought 4, but now I'm beginning to think they're gonna be too baggy to work. This does look pretty spot on:

The zipper is big and I STILL think the cut of this suit is too small (and the Blues Brothers 2000 head is off-putting), but a nice job overall.

As far as the Saturday Toys jumpsuit, yeah...I found an old DML suit that may work a little better for me (a la Spook's), but it's going to take some work as far as removing pockets, dying correct color, etc. The DML suits also have got some adhesive soaked into the shoulders from patches, and I need to try to remove that.

DUDE...that's totally my figure!! lol I know the suit isn't quite as "baggy" as it should be, and the Akroyd sculpt is from BB2000, but hey...ya gotta make do with whatchya got, right? : )

I'm new to the board, so "Hello!" to everyone. It's great to see so many other people making their own custom Ghostbusters figures...and to think I thought I was one of the only few out there! I was even the one that originally commissioned that Egon sculpt from Ada!

It's a small world. :D

Sweet! :rock

Welcome man! This is the place to be for the BEST in 1/6 Ghostbuster customization! I'm glad you found us--please post more pics of your Ray. What is the jumpsuit you used? Any pics of other GBs you have in the works? Is that pack one of Nick's kits or did you build it yourself?

Just a quick note to say that I've decided to sell my proton pack on - I'm in the UK, so I received it last week from Nick-a-Tron - in case anyone's interested. It's a really professionally sculpted and produced piece, but as often happens with me my collector focus has just changed to Hot Toys stuff, and besides, I'm unlikely to get the time to make the full figure. I believe I paid $25 for it plus $10 shipping - I'll sell it on for the same price, plus I'll throw in a BBI 'Chuck Morris' Flightsuit (you can see what one looks like a few pages back) to get you started. I'm happy to send it anywhere in the world. Damn plans - I always dream of having the time to complete custom projects, buy what I need for them, then find that I don't have time and besides, my interests have changed.

If anyone's interested, just PM me, and incidentally, I HIGHLY recommend the Proton packs.

Thanks, man! I'm all excited to see other customizers getting all hyped about Ghostbusters! I'll post some more pics as soon as I gather the best ones...or take new ones. For now, here's one close up shot. I can't remember which suit I used....I'm pretty sure it was Hot Toys. I am, in fact, working on the other guys. I'm using the Andgor Venkman head and the Spengler head I had Ada sculpt (and that everyone else is now using lol)...all's left is to get a Zeddemore head. As for the pack, I made mine myself all by hand. I'll hafta make molds of the next one so I can duplicate it like Nick!

Please make some pics of your awesome trap! I'd like to see a few closer shots of the head (with an without goggles) aswell... :chew:monkey5

I hope the news about Carrel and Rogen as Ghostbusters is just that, a rumor, because I cannot stand today's comedy. The last comedy I saw in the theater was Hot Fuzz, before that was probably Kung Fu Hustle.

I'm also glad Eddie Murphy was NOT a Ghostbuster. He would've tried hamming it up too much and hogging the spotlight. Ernie was a lot better as the straight man.

Comedies and even comedians are a very varied thing. It takes a certain type of celebrity/comedian to be a proper Ghostbuster, I think. It shouldn't be just anyone. At least one would need to have some huge likable charisma like Bill who gets it just by walking on the screen.

I too am not thrilled with most of todays comedians and can't see them in new GB roles, but then, I will be the first to admit all it takes is one single good movie to change my perception of them.

I hate Will Farrell to no end, but Step Brothers was easily one of the funniest movies I've seen in the past few years. It's an owner.

Years ago I wasn't a big Adam Sandler fan (and he continues to put out his share of stinkers), but Happy Gilmore and the Wedding Singer were great and I love him as a comedian now (yet fear most of his movies) :(

As a new dream team, I could still easily see Will Smith as a new main Ghostbuster just for likability and charisma alone, and Adam Sandler (but not as a retard character obviously >laugh<), as a second, (as echoed in my personel custom GB wants.)

I don't know who could round out the cast for a new movie team otherwise though. I would have said Steve Buscemi 10 years ago. I like Ben Stiller/Owen Wilson in the sense that they play the same two characters every movie but with different names like in a SNL sketch (not that all of those movies are good, I'm just sayin. I also realize a lot of people HATE them).

Maybe in the right context Steve Carrell or Seth Rogen would be okay, but not as the main GB's.

I could see Will Smith as a new Ghostbuster but it would seem almost too similar to his role in Men in Black. I was thinking Luke Wilson.

Actually, anybody is better than that American Pie guy who was in Evolution. I'm glad he's faded over the years. Wasn't Evolution even planned as another Ghostbusters but then they changed their mind?

Evolution was directed by Ghostbusters director, Ivan Reitman. As far as it was planned to be Ghostbusters III? I don't know. Maybe Ivan mentions it on the commentary for the DVD for Evolution if he did commentary.

The actor you're talking about is Sean William Scott. Blonde guy. Played the jerk goofball "Stiffler" in the first three American Pie movies. Yeah, I don't think much of him either.

I can tell you, as a huge Ghostbusters fan and a regular on the GB message boards, the rumors about a third movie are just that...only rumors. Rogen has been asked, and the rumor was actually news to him. The new video game coming out is the only thing being considered a 3rd installment, and that's it right now.

Luckily, the Real Ghostbusters is being released this Nov. as a huge box set from Time Life, so that's something else to look forward to! : )

Yeah, I put my vote in for the "firehouse" box for the Real Ghostbusters DVD set. I know I'm going to buy it!

That is true, that the new videogame is the closest we'll get to a third Ghostbusters movie. I'm happy with everything I've seen and read about it! I can't wait to get it. :D It looks incredible!

The last thing I heard was that Activision was shopping for another game company to release it. Luckily Ghostbusters missed the "axe" of getting cancelled like some other games being produced by Activision.
