Is that Steve Buscemi on the left??
No two-bit floozies are gonna take me off this case.
I can already see it. Sony and Columbia pictures logos. Fade to black. Cue Ray Parker Jr. Ghostbuster theme, but wait, there's something different. It sounds terrible; it's being sang by a shrill, off-key voice. Close up of a hand grabbing a handful of Stay Puft Marshmallows. Whose hand is it? Why it's Melissa Mccarthy's, as she continues singing, mouth half full of Marshmallows, she breaks into one of her awkward dance routines, interrupting it with Proton Pack miming and "buzzing" onomatopoeias, althewhile half chewed marshmallows go flying out of her mouth, and "Melissa Mccarthy, Sandra Bullock, Kristen Wiig, Maya Rudolph, and Wendy McLendon-Covey" cross the bottom of the screen . *Splat* The Ghostbusters logo appears, this time with three fingers up. "Directed by Paul Feig." Fade in from black to a shot of the New York skyline.
Seriously, though, I don't know how to feel about this. On one hand, I've liked Feig's films, and I actually find Melissa McCarthy pretty funny. With that in mind, does this really need to be "Ghostbusters?" I don't know. I just think they should leave those movies alone. Ramis is gone, Bill Murray has pretty much met every rumor or report with a resounding "no," and, frankly, Aykroyd and Hudson just aren't enough to carry a movie. That being said, they *are* the Ghostbusters. Even when talk about having people like Franco and Rogen play their kids went on, I never really was on board with it.
