Just look at the mouth/nose portion of the mask in the photo and then compare the texture to the rest of the mask. The mouth/nose portion is clearly cloth since it has a thread like texture to it. But the rest of the mask has a leather like grain. Even the edges look like cut leather.
Which all the more makes it look like crap.

Sorry, bud. I am seeing the exact same thread pattern on the side of the mask that I do in the mouth/nose portion. The light from above is shining to much for me to see it on the top. But right at the cheekbone area where it dips in a little, I see it clearly.

Just in case anyone forgot how horrible this crap-fest will be and how much Stephen Sommers sucks, get a load of who Brendan Fraser is playing in the movie (it's not Gung-Ho):

Anytime I see new posts in this thread I know it's going to be something goofy. I imagine the behind the scenes on this film to be akin to the Plan 9 scenes from Burton's Ed Wood.
