I truly feel sorry for the younger generation that are not familiar with GI JOE. This crapfest will be their introduction to this franchise and that's truly a sin. This movie is not what GI JOE is about.

I'll stand out from the crowd and say that I like the look of Storm Shadow. I mentioned a list of reasons why they went this way for the movie for him which make sense to me.

I just hope that he sports the COBRA logo on his outfit eventually. That's what I miss most from his and the Baroness' gear.

It is just a movie...It may even be redone, ala "The Hulk." But, will someone please show Dennis Quaid how to properly wear a military beret? Every time an actor wears a beret it looks completely ridiculous. I thought people were hired to consult on things like this?

I think the Iraq sequences in the TF movie already double as a pretty cool GI Joe/Transformers crossover.

Did you know that that squad was originally meant to be the Joes, and that the real GI Joe movie would be a spinoff from Transformers? Pity that got dropped midway in preproduction though...Would have been better then the crap we ended up getting.

Oh well, GI Joe Absolute FTW!

well they'd look stupid if they wore the outfits that the toys had.... i'm assuming in this movie they use bullets not lasers and that people will ACTUALLY get shot.. dame shame when you have 75 cobra against 15 joes and no one gets hit on either side.
i think Storm shadow is wearing sneakers become it give better foot control and isn't rigid?

Interesting. Those buggies they drove into the city at the end did look quite a bit like modern day AWE Strikers. It was probably for the best that they weren't GI Joe at least as far as making a dramatic TF movie was concerned. If the opening scenes of the movie were Duke kicking it with Dusty, Flint, and Roadblock in the chopper while Snake Eyes chilled out quietly in the background I can just imagine the excited murmuring of the theater audience and a fair amount of thunder would have been taken away from the TF's themselves.
