Hey Teemu, instead of name calling lets talk about the Illuminati, Adam Weishaupt, Aleister Crowley, Albert Pike.

I never started any name calling....the namemagazine feels thats what he needs to do with people to feel better about himself.

what about the Illuminati, Adam Weishaupt, Aleister Crowley, Albert Pike? (satan worshippers)
where you been? been talking about the Illuminati for a while

Enough already.

And I'm not just referring to this horrendous movie.

Let's try to get back on track, I hope that this movie follows the cartoon, in that there will be a large firefight and no one getting shot! It worked well for the cartoon and I think it will work wonders for the film!

Don't forget showing a parachute for every plane that's blown out of the sky.

A-Team was like that. Only 2 people died on the show and none were caused by the A-Team, but it was deemed a violent show.

However, throughout the course of the series, each of the 4 core members wound up critically wounded from a gunshot in at least one episode. I remember Faceman getting it in a hick town, Mr. T getting it and getting "crazy foo blood" for a transfusion, Hannibal getting it and falling in love with his nurse, and Murdock getting it and nearly getting humped by Mr. T in cheesy macho love scenes, "don choo die on me foo!"

I don't see how Hasbro can expect to fix all the things that are wrong about this movie by just changing the joe base location.

I rather wait another year instead of getting a movie that will kill my childhood memories.

That would involve an entirely different crew and cast. :rotfl I'm hoping they're just pulling a Fantastic Four and filming it to maintain the rights with no actual plan of releasing it. I'd rather suffer the disappointment of this film getting canned than suffer the pain of watching someone brutally rape our childhood memories. :lol

Does anyone in Hollywood know how a military beret is supposed to be worn?

Maybe not - but they know what looks cool.

So - everyone that's saying they'd rather________________ than see this movie - how many will be there on opening night?

I love RAH GIJoe, but I will not pay to see this abomination.

I learned my lesson the hard way:

Street Fighter: The Movie :yuck

Opening night is out. At this point, unless I hear good things from trusted friends and reliable critics, I'll wait for DVD and likely rent it with my BlockBuster monthly pass. That way it's near free and I can take it back for something else should it fail so bad it gets stopped midway through. But if it's favorable, I'll add my cash to the pot and catch it opening weekend to help with the gross.

I won't see it theatrically unless I go to the Atlanta screening (which is probably likely since Nick hosts all the "big" flicks) or buy a ticket for a better movie instead and just walk into G.I. JOE. In any case, they will not get one single penny from me for their "efforts".

Well Im kinda new here pal.

Heck with it. I'll be there. I don't mind re-interpretations. Joe was different in the 60's, different in the 80's. I can buy the upgrades they did for the movie. I see the costumes the same way I saw the X-Men movie costumes... they finally look like a UNIT. Since this is the origin story so to speak, I can see everyone starting off the same and "individualizing" their uniforms as time goes on. And seriously, aside from the best opening ever, the animated GI Joe movie was god-awful, yet I still loved it. I'm giving this one a chance. If it's a mindless fun actioner like the Mummy moves then I will be perfectly happy.

I do not anticipate a bad movie. I think it will be, at the very least, entertaining.

However, I have never been able to understand the mentality necessary to enjoy "opening day" at any movie. There has never been a movie (including my beloved Star Wars and LOTR) that is worth fighting the chaos of the crowds pushing everyone around to get farther in line for tickets, food, AND entry into the theater. As always, I will be waiting until the movies run winds down until I see it.

But I WILL see it in the theater.

For me, I like going on opening day because that is usually when the die-hard fans will be there and SOMETIMES that "nerd energy" makes the experience even better... Not always, but sometimes...
