Very little. What I usually do is, I'll go to my local comic book store and say, "Give me everything you have on this subject." I also went online. There are a lot of G.I.Joe sites. It's really, really popular.
Glad it's not people making decisions who actually grew up playing with the toys, reading the comic books, watching the Saturday morning cartoon-- Glad it's decision makers who researched over a weekend.
I guess it would depend on which they based it on, the comics or the movie. I was guessing that with the characters and the way the story's framing up, it was the latter, but if I'm wrong, I'm wrong. The thing that bugged me the most about that interview though, was the fact that he said he based his ideas for G.I. Joe off of... video games?! WTF?!?!?!
