Apparently, Ray Park had to cancel an appearance at a convention in Orlando this weekend due to some "important reshooting" on G.I. Joe.

Mods, can we PLEASE add a "trainwreck" smile to our collection?? :D

Important huh??? Hmmmmm....maybe they decided that Snake Eyes should speak after all?? Why not? This crapfest gets better all the time!!

Instead of Yo Joe! The call sign for this movie should be NO JOE!

Why are they turning away from the All-American feel of the original G.I. Joe in favor of a more "international" force, and still keeping the red, white, and blue (with a star!) in the logo?

I'm looking forward to the release of this movie for no other reason than that the reviews on AICN are going to be hilarious!!

Thank God Sideshow isn't being forced to make figures based on this crapfest.

Oh that poster is a work of ART!!!!

It must've took a whole TEAM of GENIUSES to Photoshop the freakin' PUBLICITY STILLS!!!!!!

:rotfl :rotfl :rotfl :rotfl :rotfl

It'll be on DVD soon enought guys, then we can have parties netflixing it. Please don't see this in the theatre! our money is better spent elsewhere.

Only question that remains, if this can be any worse than the DBZ movie?

Well....thats pretty much what they use to PS in posters....here's a Watchman poster I did, I used publicty stills.

But the GIJOE one is still a crappy poster....

As much ass as the DragonBall movie sucks, it'll still be better, and closer to its source material than the Joe flick. :yuck

The directors and producers of both films should be submitted to the same torture Bond got in Casino Royale. ;)

I really hope that people resist the urge to go see it just for the sake of seeing a movie titled "GI Joe" on the big screen. I don't want this "movie" to make a dime. I'm sure there'll will be another movie in August curious Joe fans can pay to watch instead. Just get there 15 minutes early, sneak into GI Joe: Rise of Cobra and watch about 7 or 8 minutes of it. I'm sure that'll be long enough for the novelty to wear off and the stench of awfulness to set in.

It doesn't even look like it'll be "so bad its good." Its Dungeons & Dragons The Movie Part Deux.

There were so many! Every single one of the lines was like that. I don’t think it actually made it into the film, but I had to say, “Action figure sold separately,” or something like that. And, Marlon had a line where he says, “You’ve got a Kung Fu Grip!” All the G.I. Joe dolls had the Kung Fu Grip, and he had to say that about somebody that grabbed him. I was like, “That ain’t ever gonna work! That’s never, ever gonna be in the movie!” And, it’s in the movie and it works. All the fanboys will be like, “Yeah!!!” People who don’t know about the Kung Fu Grip will just be like, “Whatever, that’s just what he chose to say right then.”

What a freaking idiot. That's the kind of crap George Clooney and Chris O'Donnell said while promoting Batman & Robin. "This is why Superman has a Kung Fu grip!" Ha Ha Ha. They sure know what the fans have been dying to see! I thought about buying a ticket for another movie and then watching GI Joe, but then I realized that even though they wouldn't be making a penny off of me they still would have caused me to be separated from $8.00 of my money and 90 minutes of my life. And that just won't do.

You forgot to include the time you'll spend retching in the toilet, ranting online and the long sobbing nights emotionally traumatized for the shameless exploitation of one of our favorite licenses.

I'm looking at all the time I spend ranting pre-release as "time served" for when this celluloid turd premieres.

Joseph Gordon Levitt On Cobra Commander

All loyal G.I. Joe fans–and even just regular geeks horrified and offended by terrible Hollywood decision-making–couldn't believe the re-design of Cobra Commander that was apparently revealed by the release of these pictures .

Well now, the actor playing Cobra Commander, Joseph Gordon Levitt, has spilled to the Associated Press that what we see isn't all that we'll get:

"The way the character looks, that's what ultimately convinced me to do the part," he says. "I saw the designs and drawings of the way they interpreted my character for this movie - the costume, the whole getup - and I was like, 'Oh, wow. I get to be that guy? Fantastic. Sign me up. Please. Thank you.'"

But…but Joseph, it looks so stupid. You were a kid in the 80's, you know what Cobra Commander should look like, right? What were you playing with, Action Force? What is the meaning of this?

"That toy is not my face. It's a mask. I like that I get to keep my face," he said. "It has less to do with me and more to do with this character that I helped create. That's more thrilling to me. It's this thing that was born out of a creative, collaborative process between me and a bunch of other people that all worked on creating this character."

O…kaaaaaaaay…

Not really positive what that means, but it sounds like we'll be seeing more of what's under that weirdo plastic see-through scuba-thing that's supposed be CC's face than we originally believed.

Hey, if what he says is true and they make CC's disfigurement some kind of plot point and turn him into a sort of sympathetic villain, I'm all for it because it will enrich the movie. But that doesn't take away from the fact that they had the opportunity to make that iconic Cobra Commander blank-glass face mask OR the hood with the Cobra logo on it spread their wings into a larger cultural milieu so that Cobra Commander's fearsomeness could be mentioned in the same breath as Darth Vader's.

This still just sounds like one big, fat, missed opportunity. And the G.I. Joe Movie's Campaign Of Making Zombiezeus Sigh, or GIJMCMZoS, continues unabated. Sigh.

Oxymoronic. A good actor can easily portray a character mask or no. And wouldn't the fact that CC has 25 years of history do wonders to authenticate an established character?! :huh This idiot is a bigger ********* than I thought.

So far this abortion makes Transformers look like Casablanca ....... What the hell were they thinking??

Ive been avoiding this post, but I went thru all the pics just now, and I was literally LAUGHING harder with each one I saw. The pic taken of "Duke" (I hesitate to even call him that) wearing that grey armor is down right unholy. It looks like somebody with a peronal vendetta against GI Joe is trying to slander its name by making it a pile of feces on purpose. Also, Joseph Gordon Levitt for Cobra is some of the worst casting ive seen in a very long time. Im not even really into GI joes AT ALL and I could tell you that. Who in thier right mind could look at that and even remotely say to themselves "You know what guys, were def. headed in the right direction" Sadly, thats what this movie is, a big f^^^^^^ joke.

I just feel bad for all of the real GI joe heads out there, as they are getting royally shafted.....

The ^^^^^ of it all is that this will probably make some money because of the kids.

That and the people who fear not going will wind up ruining further opportunities. I spent about an hour arguing with a comic book store employee about this. My argument that a fully supported Resolute and Anniversary line and all but ignored movie and movie line will hopefully show Hasbro the error of their ways. But he seems to think that the movie bouncing will affect everything and kept encouraging me to go. I ask him if we'd be having this discussion if it was to go see a gay porno in the theatre to support a potential collapse of the porn industry. He said he wouldn't go. :huh ...go figure. :lol

Maybe buy the ticket for this flick and go see a different movie instead! :lol

...nah I'm still not going to support this POS.
