Just when you thought this film couldn't get any more retarded looking... apparently the Crimson Twins Tomax and Xamot are going to appear in a couple of scenes. AICN broke the news with photos of the two as they appear in the film.

The link was broke here, so I had to look
up the International Trailer and I gotta say:

It STILL doesn't look like G.I. Joe. :(

All the potential the license has and this is
the best they could do?

It still looks like a live action Team America
movie to me, too. :D

Here's the trailer again:

JOE trailer in HD</a><br/><object width="425px" height="360px" ><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"/><param name="wmode" value="transparent"/><param name="movie" value="https://mediaservices.myspace.com/services/media/embed.aspx/m=56665658,t=1,mt=video"/><embed src="https://mediaservices.myspace.com/services/media/embed.aspx/m=56665658,t=1,mt=video" width="425" height="360" allowFullScreen="true" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent"></embed></object>

Watch the last few seconds when the guys in the Iron Man MK 5 suits are flipping around. They land on their feet in slow motion then speed up and run super fast by the camera. It reminded me of when Shrek is in the castle running in slow motion away from the dragon. He even had the wise cracking black comedian rendered in CG next to him. :lol

Yep. Still looks terrible.

I've given this movie a lot of crap, but I have to admit that trailer looked pretty damn cool. It's not the GI Joe I grew up with, but then this stuff rarely gets translated faithfully to the big screen. Maybe it'll end up being fun, I don't know.

that scene where the guys flip round was taken straight from the transformers movie! exactly the same..where the robo did a flip to avoid a missile in sloow mo!

Eccleston is a good actor, but he makes a crap Destro. WAY too skinny and frail looking.

Therefore, even the film's best asset is also a crutch. Amazing.

Okay.....technology is supposedly getting better right? Right? Right? Why then in the latest movies does the CGI look WORSE then it does from movies 10 years ago. Why?!? WHY!?? WHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHY!?!?!

The imagination, talent and effort is simply not there with most big-budget directors these days. A bunch of talentless lazy hacks is what many of them are. This is the result: cookie-cutter FX sequences that play as no more than glorified cut scenes. Also, the mindless masses eat it up.

It's the guy who did the mummy movies NOT Michael Bay or George Lucas (but it looks like it going to make Indy 4 look like the Dark Knight:mad:)

Yeah, as a "B action movie" with "straight
to video effects", the trailer doesn't look
that bad. The trouble is, the full package
is being wrapped up with a shiny G.I. Joe
bow and the fans aren't supposed to
notice the changes.

Speaking of which, re-imagining isn't always
a bad thing, as we've seen with a lot of the
movies in the last few years, but this comes
off more as a bastardization, than re-imagining.

The scary thing that keeps popping into my head
is we've yet to see Cobra Commander in all his
"live action" glory. :dunno

Yep, the scene where Sienna Miller is getting out of that drill thing with all the other drills coming through the dirt around her looks right out of The Mummy, circa 1999. The "Accelerator Suits" are 2002 Spider-Man quality at BEST.
