ok, the original series, Except ignore the animated movie. and the DIC series. happy now?

I am happy actually. :D But Resolute still doesn't fit with the original series due to Ripcord and Dial-Tone's respective race and sex changes. It does compliment MASS Device pretty nicely (and even fits pretty seamlessly continuity-wise with that miniseries) but that's it.

" in the past it suited me to appear weak, and foolish, because it motivated you people to think"

Clear reference to the cartoon.

That's a fun nod to longtime fans, like Cyclops' line about "yellow spandex" in the first X-Men movie. It doesn't actually make one series an extension of another.

Never understood why people hated the animated movie...except for Duke's death being cut.

Cause Cobra-La was dumb :lol

It wasn't what I expected Cobra Commanders origin to be either. I always thought (before the movie) He was probably from another planet like the "V" snake alien race. Which would also explain the laser guns and some pretty far fetched technology that was used.

So, they went with Ancient reptilian/humanoid society instead. It's evolution, with a twist.
Pythona was cool.

Is the entire Joe team Asian now?

:lecture:lecture:lecture It shat on the comic book continuity as well.

If they were going to go with comic continuity, they would have had to call the movie "Snake Eyes".

Action Force didn't have any problem working the G.I. JOE movie into their story, and they even made a prequel comic to the movie.

Khev the embed didn't work for me.

Ugh, they do all look Asian. The problem is the eyes are drawn too angular and the brows don't look prominent enough for the men.
Eyeballs are round people! So the Eyelids should be round too!

WTF are you talking about? Only a small amount of issues were centered around Snake Eyes.

Don't get me wrong Nam, I would have preferred a story that worked into the comic book continuity too. Especially since it would be the comic to continue the Joe mythos afterward.

I just enjoy the movie for what it is. While the opening theme is by far the best part, there's plenty of cool stuff in the movie too.

Pythonas infiltration, the snow battle, the Renegades taking on the Terrordrome, Beachhead training the Rawhides, Duke dying, Zaranas nude shower scene.

HA! You skirted it. I still don't understand why you'd think that if they did a movie based on the comics they'd have to call it Snake Eyes. :cuckoo:

You never read any issues of "Snake Eyes: A Real American Ninja?"
