Yep, I was speaking more generally about Ninjas. The reason they did NF was the popularity of Snake Eyes and Storm Shadow.
Occasionally when I payed with my SE & SS, they would don swords (they would use them for stealth kills) but mostly I had guys with guns and vehicles, that's what it was all about for me.
Two other things I think brought down RAH was the color choices, and the stupid action gimmicks they started to include.
And Hasbro hasn't stopped the madness, the latest Snake Eyes, V.53, has a god damn Tornado Kick gimmick:

I was cherrypicking by that point. Only picked up the Street Fighter figures because I worked at an arcade at the time (Blanca and Guile were the best but essentially Road Pig recasts).

Man, I remember seeing some Street Fighter figures in Toys R us, and couldn't believe they started to use old school peg hips like Star Wars figures on a few of them, a huge step backwards.
I rarely bought toys at the time, 92 was the last I'd buy a Joe until the anniversary series.
Hisstank has a new extended preview on their homepage today. I'm not going to bother to post the link. It really does not look good. Only Snake Eyes is remotely recognizable.

I was really looking foward to this untill I saw the designs. Whle the outfits looks ok, the faces looks lame. I really wish Hasbro would make another Resolute cartoon!

I think there's going to to be some kind of 1 hour sneak preview of that Transformers Prime show after this in about 10 minutes, but the commercials say that the premiere is next week, so I don't know what's going on.

my TV guide list says the first 2 episodes are on back to back. but i don't wanna watch it if it's gonna suck like the movies. it's bad enough they are using the ghey movie designs.
