I just remember something about you mentioning a vagina on Marion figures because you don't get sex, from the Indy thread.

I think, if memory serves, SomethingSexy said there was nothing left to live for if SS didn't make a Marion figure. I was just reminding him that vagina is always a pretty good reason to keep on keeping on. I might have mentioned my dry streak after that, but honestly, it's not that bad.... Just not as good as before my son was born... and that's only been a year.

Just got around to watching this for the first time over the weekend. Terrible, terrible movie. Way worse than I expected. I was hoping there would be a couple of good action scenes and a few Joe moments that would make it worthwhile. Not a chance. What I don't understand is how the budget was so high. The effects look like they were done by students and the acting was bordering on offensively bad. I have no idea how they spent this much money to create something so so terrible.

Quite easily one of the worst movies I have ever seen.
Only a couple of casting choices were acceptable and breaker looked ridiculous everytime he was on screen with the giant eyepiece.
CGI was woeful, dialogue was rubbbish, in fact the only thing I liked about the whole movie was Zartan.

I don't see how you can like him but not the rest of the movie. His portrayal and comeuppance was one of the worst bastardizations in the film.

in a word... Horrible

In just a brief time I saw shotty effects, Effing horrible acting, and of course incredibly poor character design.

I knew it was going to be bad. I just didnt realize how bad.

Yeah I know! But for the little time he had in the movie he killed a joe and did the whole master of disguise thing. He was one of the only characters I thought that had kept some of his original background ( I know he looked nothing like him but he acted like him at least).

Watched it last week and yes, it was horrendous. The absolute worst part HAS to be Duke. He was beyond terrible. I honestly felt bad for all the other actors that had to work with him. Not only did they have to share screen time with a piss poor actor, but they were all playing second fiddle to him! How bad for the self esteem must it have been that someone like THAT got the lead role in the tent-pole movie of the summer? Marlon Wayans acted circles around him! I've seen better acting at school productions!

And they went a little overboard with the flashbacks! I mean, come on! Did they really need to have all the central characters be tied together in the past? And was Destro's flashback even necessary? They mentioned the origins of the mask in a later scene. And I'm now officially sick of "nano-technology".

The only good thing that came from this are the toys...Yes, some are absolute crap just like the movie, but stiff like the Pit Commando and the upcoming Beach Head are pretty ????ing awesome; the latter is especially an awesome 'modern' update and an example of how to properly update something. Really digging the new HISS Tank as well, though moreso because it looks like it came right out of Command & Conquer.
