I have a question for those that remember GOW 2 before Chains of Olympus came out...figured this was the best thread....
The whole atlus storyline: In GOW 2, there was talk of 'nice to see you again' type stuff. NOW, that was explained in 'Chains....' but I dont remember if gamers were feeling 'What the heck are they talking about?' kinda reaction
I realize that 'Chains...' was produced concurrently with GOW2 at some point, its just rare to see such a storyline set up in a game

I just found out that Amazon is shipping my Ultimate Edition on the 22nd. What gives...

That's what they did to the Hunter's Edition of AVP. They oversold it or something and gave a BS email saying they didn't know when it would ship. I canceled and bought it elsewhere.

That's lame. You need to contact them and complain like no other. At the least they need to give you a gift card of some sort. Are you a Prime member??? They're supposed to have release day shipping.

Man, I wish I were able to cancel right now. But, since the ultimate edition's sold out everywhere, I'll have to keep my order with Amazon. I've pre-ordered from them before, but never had a game ship this late. So, that said, shipping the game one week after the release date is just unacceptable. Although, I did select the "free super shipper" option, plus I got a $10 voucher on the game, so maybe they're trying to punish me in some odd way

I'm not a Prime Member, but a few Prime Members on the Amazon forums have been complaining about late shipments for them as well. It's like the Ultimate Edition is not guaranteed for release day shipping

Yup. Sums up what its like anytime a new game comes out. Luckily, my significant other enjoys watching so its all good. She does get mad when I interrupt her from watching her shows though, but as long as I get unlimited time otherwise its all good.

The screenshots next to the demo make me happy that the game looks even better. But I'm still not super excited for it. My God of War enthusiasm seems have been left on the PS2.

Well, you can't really expect much more for just $30 more than the standard edition. The DLC (I think), is a few tournament rooms, that are provided with voucher codes.
One thing's for sure - Pandora's Box is going to be a great compliment to the Kratos PF/Maquette from Sideshow (whenever it gets released)!
