Anyone lucky to find the big Jakks Godzila yet @ TRU in the midwest (Chicago)?

Just returned from TRU, still nothing new.

I walk down the aisle with my son and there were 7 Japanese girls looking at the crappy Godzilla toys.

They see me grab one of the Godzillas and they all burst out in Japanese and then started laughing out loud.

It actually was, they were with a group of like 6 others with a tourist guide showing them around.

Then here comes this 300lb 6 foot 3 me and they all giggled like mad when I picked up the Godzilla box.

today i saw a jakks new godzilla movie figure at my local rus here in madison, WI. only had one, was in open box, had a moving torso gimmick thing goin via button on his back. i think? anyways i saw one here in madison.

i think it was jakks... def new movie ver.

I was thinking the same thing! At 6'3 and 300, they probably thought were Godzilla himself!

At the moment they're exclusive to SWSX, but I'm sure Mondo'll have prints up for sale and cheap knockoffs will hit eBay.

That poster is terrific. So wish I was at SXSW right now. It would not surprise me one bit that Gareth Edwards doesn't show some footage from the new Godzilla film while during his session for Godzilla 1954. Hell, the entire showing of the original film maybe a ruse and Godzilla 2014 is what is actually shown. Remember back in 2009, J.J. Abrams and Leonard Nimoy pulled a similar switch with Star Trek while in Austin (though that wasn't for SXSW).

Well I won the G62 on ebay today. Sort of mad at myself as I see that Diamond is probably going to release the 30cm G62. Not a real big deal but I still would have liked to save 100.00. But it's my second fav G suit so it's almost worth it to not wait.

I swore I would not get into these but looking at the photos here and on youtube and kaiju addicts I could not take it anymore. I have a ton of the old Bandi Godzilla items and some models and some of the X plus statues. I have just about all of the Yuji Sakai mini figs... or should I say my kids now have all of these things but I told myself not to get into these xplus pieces... Well then Diamond announced that they would start to release them at a more affordable price so I got the 64G (my fav) and said I would get just the 62G (2nd fav) and 67G (3rd) well then I ended up getting the smaller GMK (love the sculpt and my 4th fav). So I am hopping to stop there... Well I would like to get an Angilas if they rerelease the DAM version here.

Anyways I am really hoping to love the new Godzilla film and that SSC knocks the statue they might do out of the park. I love the new G design and a great movie would put him up there with my other favs and a Nice SSC Godzilla would be the cream of the crop for me

Anyways just sharing my G thoughts with you G fans.
