The Gigantic GMK is a really cool figure, but it's a shame to have to spend $1,000 on it. The GMK Godzilla is in my top three favorite looks for Godzilla, but I don't think it's worth that much, to be honest. It'd be cool if they did a reissue for those that missed him the first time....

:goodpost: :exactly:

.. yup. that GMK Gigantic is the muttz nutz.. really hoping it gets a re-release, because the current scalpers prices are just insane! :thud:

Basically the scalpers have taken the original purchase price plus international shipping price combined.. and then doubled it.. with shipping on top of that.. and at that price, you are never going to get your money back, if you decide to part with it later.. especially after the hype around the current film dies down.. imho, it's real secondary value is approx $550.. and that's a fanboy price.
Gratz to whoever snagged the 'damaged' one on the US eBay, recently.

The highest i'm willing to pay for him would be $600.00.

The movie definately inflated him some more.

I think you may have to wait for the current hype to die down, or for Diamond to start talking about a re-release (which judging by the secondary market should be a no-brainer).. I have seen this figure advertised as high as four times its original retail plus shipping combined, price.

..and it appears to be selling quite regularly for approx $800 on eBay, currently! :thud:

Jye, if you are considering g2k x-plus what about 2003? Nicer figure imo and coming back out real soon

SOS,

hmmm, Idk

GMK is nice and fat. :lol

Man, every single 30cm XP should come with the lighted fins.

I just learned of that feature today and my mind was blown when I saw it illuminated on the 64/99/03.

Just completely blown away.

I took some group pics of my X-Plus collection today. No fancy backdrops or anything, but it's nice to have some pics with them all together. I can't display them all together, so it was a real pain in the butt. I hope I can display them all properly one of these days.

I'm only laughing on the outside, my smile is just skin deep. If you could see inside I'm really crying, Biojex might join me for a weep.

I have given a name to my pain...and it is Boba Ben.

Gigantic GMK pics for Jye.

Excellent pic BB! :rock

I think one of the great things about this figure, is how the eye has the white 'possessed' effect, but it looks like the pupil of the eye.. whereas the smaller 12" figure appears to have completely white eyes, which imho doesn't look as good.. I also prefer the more heavily textured skin and stylised look of this figure.. and hey, its Godzilla, so a 'Gigantic' format rocks!

:hi5:

I think the 1989 is my favorite out of the smaller, X-Plus 12" figures.. good texture and I like the stance and head sculpt.. however the 2001 GMK 12" is up for re-issue at a sensible price.. tough call.
