Of the X Plus Godzillas that have lighted fins, 1964 is the best by far. The light coming from G2K is pretty cool too.

:hi5:

I think the 1989 is my favorite out of the smaller, X-Plus 12" figures.. good texture and I like the stance and head sculpt.. however the 2001 GMK 12" is up for re-issue at a sensible price.. tough call.

Just looking at it, the 89 is very nice.

The GMK 12" is mean looking, but his texture is much smoother than the 89.

You are right, tough call indeed.

Well, not really, the 89 is not available for sale, GMK wins. :lol

Yup, 64 and now the 03 have nice lighted fins.

The 99 has the light in the mouth which is cool.

Does anybody know when the Neca Godzilla is ment to be in stock in the UK? I have one on order but the date keeps changing. Hoping to find time to read the prequel comic today too.

The 1989 version is pretty cool. Better Heisei version than the 1992 one. The only thing I don't love about him is the articulated jaw. It doesn't really move very much at all anyhow and would probably look better if it the head was just sculpted as one piece.

But would you want it sculpted mouth open or closed?

Idk, watching the YT videos on him his mouth seems to move ok.

I prefer the closed mouth look, goes great with his stare.

His eyes look great.

Damn it, now I want 64/89/99/01/MechaGKiryu

FML.

But that's it, no other X-Plus unless they release Gigantic 01 again.

Maybe I will have to sacrifice either the 64 or 89, can't be both.

The movement is limited, is what I'm saying. It doesn't really close all the way, just slightly less open that the way I have him in the picture about. I'd prefer it was sculpted closed. There aren't that many Godzilla figures sculpted that way.

The 64 is very nice. He looks really mean.

Honestly, I think the side monsters might be some of my favorite X-Plus figures, actually. Angurius, Titanosaurus, Gorosaurus are some of my absolute favorites.

I agree, closed would be awesome on the 89, same as the 64 closed, looks cool.

But 64 open also looks good.

That's true. The closed mouth '64 Godzilla is really nice. I always went with the regular X-Plus releases since they were easier and cheaper for me to obtain, but the '64 Godzilla with the closed mouth option is one that I would've liked to have along with the Baragon with alternate head sculpt.

Yeah man, those lighted exclusives are bad ass!

Oh well, I came late into the game, but i'm here now.

I just wish that Burning Godzilla had been the Gigantic I missed and not the 01. :lol

You know, those Gigantic should have lighted fins as well for those prices.

The light up feature is nice, but I think I actually prefer the ones without it. I've seen a couple with holes in there legs where you plug a big battery box into them, and I don't really like the look of it. Additionally, the fins can have better paint detail put into them if they don't have to worry about allowing them to light up, and since they're not going to be lit up in my collection 99% of the time, I prefer it that way. If they could figure out a way to light up the whole gigantic Burning Godzilla figure, it'd be pretty impressive, but I'm fine with him just being painted without the feature.

I sent the seller a message that I was ready to pay $600 for the GMK Gigantic.

I got back a LOL

:lol
Yeah, I think in the current market you are unlikely to get one under $800, unless its damaged.. but I still feel that is a very steep 'instant gratification' premium.. pretty sure that figure will get re-released at some point, simply because X-Plus have a limited number of Godzilla suit possibilities.

My son bypasses all his superhero and lego toys and goes straight to his Godzilla toys and dvds.

He fell asleep in ASM2 and DOFP but remained awake for G2014!
